oh you mean the same warranty handbook that came with my tC? thanks.

i still don't see anything about rattles being covered under warranty.

still sitting at home, but i had my buddy tell me the info over the phone.

What is covered: 1yr/12k adjustment
Alignments
Parking Brake adjustment
Wheel Balancing
noises/vibrations that ARE normal (adjustments)

now if you have noise/vibration/rattle that is NOT normal, would be 3yr/36k
again, once i READ IT word for word, ill edit the post.

my buddy read it rather quick over the phone, and i have short term memory...doesn't help

actually that's great that toyota is hiding stuff from the consumer.. Actually if an owner got a lawyer they could have fun in court because the warranty was NEVER presented to them.. And NO they don't have to ask for it.. If they were not presented with this "Secret warranty" because it was hidden, then they can't be accountable to it..

Just watch how many people's cars get their rattles fixed outside of this "Warranty" when they get a lawyer.. I'm not sue happy, but I do believe in the Magnason-Moss act (protection for warranty coverage)..

i wish they did hand all warranty info out to customers, i usually put/post the info on my desk for customers to at least see, or look through...makes both our lives easy, no "hidden" things
but alot of customers don't actually know wut their warranty is, or how long it lasts, or wut it covers

Yeah what's up with the "secret" warranty? It doesn't say anything about this in any of the warranty manuals we were given..

"NORMAL noises/vibrations"?... interesting... i'm curious to know what scion/toyota considers as "normal" noises/vibrations....

our tC warranty manual says that noise/vibration/rattles are not covered under the 3yr/36k warranty and are considered wear and tear. i need to get a hold of one of the "secret" warranty manuals at the dealership...

noises/vibrations/rattles that are NOT NORMAL, or abnormal are covered for
3yr/36k.
you'd be surprised wut they try and pass as "normal"

Ok, so I've been reading all these posts and people keep refering to the Toyota Service Bulitin but no one has given a number or way to find it. I'm nearing 10k and do want to get this issue resolved asap. Please Post the TSB Number or where to find it or some way to find it without telling a service rep that theres a TSB out on this. Once again, I'm looking for a specific TSB number or identifiacation method. Oh, and I forgot to say Please. Thanks!

Where did you read that there is a 12k/12 month adjustment period for these issues? I want to read more on these "issues". Since my tC needs about 10 miles to go for it to hit the 12k mile mark and I have a few "issues" that need to be fixed.
uh, seeing as how ive been with toyota for 3 1/2yrs, thats how i know.
each dealer has warranty advisor, she has a copy of 12k/1yr adjustment period, i haven't checked my manual or anything, but it SHOULD be somewhere written for consumers.
Read your Warranty Information booklet in your Scion Owner's Manual packet. The basic warranty, 3 Years / 36 Thousand Miles and covers repairs AND adjustments. The 12/12,000 is old info as far as I can tell. Would be typical of many dealers to quote the ways of their service ancestors.

I'll verify this later today when I get to work and post again but I think you're dealer needs to get off their butt and help you.
