Default Weathertech In-Channel Rain Guards Question (Tight fit?!)

I bought 2 weathertech rain guards and they came in the mail last week. I finally got around to trying to install them & I had did everything perfect, got the driver side done, tried to roll up the windows and it was an EXTREMELY tight fit. Im talking so tight the window (if i did not hold the button to go up) would roll back down on its own !!! Is that normal ? Or did I severley jack somthing up in the process ? The window works fine without it but when I had it in the window was just realy tight. Needless to say I took it off but I wanna put them on so bad. Will it loosen up or did I do something wrong ?

Yes it's normal. The instructions tell you they have to seat themselves in the channels which takes a few days. I've had mine in for about 2-3 months and they're better but still tight.

I've had mine for about 6 months now. When I first installed them they were in tight. It was tough proceeding with the installation instructions where you're suppose put the window down and up again five times to seat the visors. Right after installing the visors, i let the windows stay up for a few days. Everything's been fine ever since. After a few months of having them I did notice that they added an additional rattle to all the other rattles that are typical of tC's.

LOL. I had bought them used off someone else and did not know they needed to be set in for a while. So I just sanded the edges down a little till the window closed properly. Oh well. They are a little loose, but they work just fine.

Maybe just reinstalling them will help them seat better. They will be tight now, but later they will be loose. Mine is beginning to rattle and I've had them for over a year.

What do you guys mean by rattle ? Like the window itself or the actual rain guards. I dont want to cause damage to my car (I like riding with the windows down more then using a.c. in the summer) lol

Mine rattles in high wind even with the window closed. I press them back into the channels and they stop rattling for like 30 seconds. I'm thinking of sticking some kind of thick tape, like double sided tape, with the side that would slide against the window covered with something smooth on the inside, if that makes sense. It would just add pressure to the visor to keep it from rattling.
