i need you to teach me some tricks with my camera, pics arent that great but here are a couple from yesterday, the other "fresh" cars werent able to make it out, here locally i got an 07 wrx lowered on volks, 00 Si slammed and clean as ***, also a hatch slammed that is too clean as ***, s14 with a kouki front end swap, 01 em2 civic and another tc. so we should be getting a shoot together soon. here are a few new ones on mine, only thing different is my vc is painted "played out" wrinkle red, still need pull a ring out of the front to drop it alittle more. And i posted a untouched pic to show you how the black seats look purple in the sun and i hate it

well idk if this will work as a "tip" but most of the pics look like your standing up from a distance and snapping them, get in weird, different positions and you're shots will definitely have a different feel to them.

Also it seems like your shooting in broad BROAD daylight, which is FTL :/ maybe earlier in the am or shortly before sunset are the best times

yeah, i was shooting at around 4pm i wanted to get out early, but couldnt so that was the best i could do, and i need to learn the setting on the camera for day, night and so on. i def need some advice and will not be mad at anything anyone says when it comes to taken pics, this is the first "decent" camera i have ever used. i have always just had point-n-shoot

also think when i get a better lens, i will feel better about upclose and crazy shots, right now they just dont look so clean when taken

i assume you have the 18-55mm lens since we have the same camera lol ...i actually really like that lens. i'm looking into getting the new prime af-s 35mm f1.8. i use my tamron 70-300 for macro and sports. its not as fast as the 18-55mm but the range is awesome. shoot me a PM if you have questions about the d40. i've had mine for little while now.

btw...car looks great man. i really like it.

BTW I actually find myself shooting alot more with my 18-55mm than my 200mm one :/ STOCK FTW :D

a "cheat" i used to do to get used to manual in different situations, i would put it in auto....look at the object i wanted to shoot. then grab the same settings and apply them in Manual Mode. that's how i learned pretty much.

well i have a friend that does it for a living in the air force, however he has a d3...haha, but he got me a sheet with basic facts and good starting points, but i still have a problem understanding them, i have only used the camera like 3 times, so i guess with some more practice ill get good

i figure as long as we can keep it a reasonable distance and members have an actual chance to interact with one another in person, then its fine. So mid-south to south seems reasonable to me.

well i have been changing the car up here recently, i went ahead and swapped out the hood, hatch and garnish for the stock oem white stuff, also replaced my ebay grill with a custom badgeless one i made myself from an 07, and also go the car alittle lower, i just got back from taking a quick weekend trip to mississippi and got a few pics of it but the bugs on the front have me not wanting to post, and the fact that i raised the rear up before the trip cause i had 2 others riding with me, but im going to size them and upload them later tonight. and breaux dont get mad that i didnt stop by, i went through memphis on my way to jackson, but it was late sat night and we had to rush, then i arrived back yesterday and wasnt rolling through memphi till around 1030, and still had another 2 hours to drive and had to be up at 530 for work...haha, but ill be making it that way soon
