The seat backs from the rear seats are pretty hefty. Then my Corbeaus were 12lbs lighter than the stock seats, each. It all adds up pretty quickly.

My drivers seat shipping weight was like 13lbs and I made custom brackets that weigh less than a pound

Cool! Thanks. Stupid question but could you feel any difference with 85 lbs trimmed off? I am trying to figure out the point where enough weight shed actually equates into better performance/mileage/etc!

lol no. You're going to need to shave a good 3-400 lbs before you can feel an actual improvement.

It helps, just don't expect to actually feel improvements. I've always heard that 17lbs = 1hp.

Yeah, that is a rule of thumb in drag racing.

And with my car gutted from the driver seats back, I actually felt a difference. had to lower the coils more to adjust things to where it handled better.

Now that's true. I'm tryn to loss another 50 lbs. That would make 100lbs. And I want to do a rear seat delete maybe. So it might sound stupid but loading weight on a person makes a differance. Us fat guys have it ruff

So wait... are you dropped on stechs or no? And if just the rear is stock... that must handle like CRAP. Srsly, I'm curious. What's going on there?

I think he is tryn to say. With everything gutted his rear sticks up in the air more. On the stechs. That's what I got out of it

Is there really that much weight back there to raise the car that much. That's crazy. It probally looks alittle goofy

trd.
Ok say if I have coilovers and gutted everything like you. Will I still have that problem. I want the weight reduction but don't want it to look weird
