Weird Engine Sound When Accelerating Fast w/ Manual Trans...
I just noticed it the other day when my radio was actually either low or going between songs and I took off from a red light.
I got it going good then threw it in 2nd and it made a noise...sounded like the engine area. Did the same thing when I put it 3rd...
About all I know I was at high RPMS (over 5k) and I was letting the clutch out pretty fast keep the speed up.
Just an FYI I have over 4k miles on the car...
Any suggestions would be great.

shifting noise
Mine has a similar ping, clink, click, noise coming after shifting up or down (as soon as clutch is out and after). Sometimes it happens 2-4 times in a gear. Does not happen with constant speed, but only acceleration or deceleration. Currently at the dealer where they have no clue what it is, surprise... They tightened the suspension and front end down, but still there. The noise does not occur when it is on the lift without pressure on the wheels. The tech thought it might be some cable hitting something else, but I told him I'm pretty sure it wasn't, especially how loud it was and the frequency at times.
What has been mentioned already, what is the culprit...
1. synchros
2. transmission mount
3. shift linkage
4. lug nuts loose
5. tensioner
Your guess?? Or has anyone had this problem fixed.

this is the third time you've posted this response on someone elses thread. One posting is enough, really, it is. There isn't any need to post the same exact response, on three different threads (that i've found so far). All it is doing is wasting bandwidth.
I understand you want your car fixed, and are looking for some guidance, but shoving the problem down our throats is not the way the get the help you are seeking. In the future, please use a little ettiquette (read the faq's and the rules before posting) and I can assure you, we will do our best to help you.
