so what was the final fix on this? I also noticed some type of heavy condesation on the front bottom windshield.

not only that but on parts of all the windows including the rear and moonroof, but just slighty. not at bad as the front windshield and this is even at night.

I also noticed the front corners of the headlights get slighty condesated also. is this normal?

Sorry I forgot to check back on this thread I was on a trip last week. Anyways, I took some windex and a good paper towel (Viva) and cleaned the inside of the windshield. It was dark so I missed some spots but the ones I got went away. I need to go back and finish the rest that I missed. It seemed to work.

I talked to a local car detailer guy that says the "soft" paper towels are treated with fabric softner which makes the streaking worse.

He suggested to use cheap paper towels then polish with a clean rag.
He uses 20/20 glass cleaner.

Default Vent Omission - Budget Design flaws

FWIW - In MOST cars there are small FIXED vents at the very corners of the dash pointed at driver & front passenger windows - This is missing in many Scion models - Some1 mentioned, I agree, Point side vents to windows as much as possible - As an "EcoKid" car lots of corners were cut in attempts to focus on external looks & what little they could put into performance on a budget... I know this is late but as a NEW to me xD owner I was shocked - Previously Owned BMW X3 & 02 Corolla - Even in some traditional horizontal vents the inside of the vent has a fixed portion of the movable louvers that ALWAYS point to the windows - I tried the plain Barbasol trick, it seems to have helped a bit with the rest of the vehicle - but I wonder in general what are the other design features that are missing which create this crazy fog situation
