SQL coding does pay pretty decent, where/who do you work for? It is great to know there is someone close by!
Not too comfortable giving out my last name here, but her name is Laura. She's 19, Sophomore, glasses, brunette.. she doesn't live on campus though.

I work for a medical software company that has their own EMR suite. I support the software and get to work on the complex database issues mainly. Cubicle job ftw.

It sucks that Syracuse doesn't really have a car-scene, other than when the Nationals come into town during the summer. And WTF is up with the weather lately? 60 on Monday, snow yesterday.. sigh.

I understand not giving out her name, it is not likely that I know her then as she wasn't there during my fres/sophomore years, and I do not live on campus either, I am just returning to get my degree and getting out of 'Cuse.

Thompson Rd. off of Eire Blvd. used to have a decent amount of cars, I have several friends who mod what not. I haven't been into the scene as I have not had any time for that.

We also used to have the Sport Compact and Truck blast but I think they discontinued that.

Yeah there is a small scene at Dunkin Donuts on Thompson Rd, but it's not what it used to be. :/

I've seen other members post here that are in upstate NY (Buffalo/Rochester/Albany), just not Syracuse. There are definitely tC drivers in Syracuse though. Most that I see have no modifications, and are driven by younger drivers. At least I haven't seen another RS5 yet

im a part time college student aiming for a mechanical engineering degree. on full time, i work at an insurance brokerage. i mainly do data entry, but i'll also file papers, carry boxes, fix broken things around, run errands, etc.

despite having warranty problems(fck toyota!), the car suits me pretty well. i love how it comes fully loaded, and i use every bit of it! its got enough kick that i'll do alright against most of my buddies, and i even took it to the track for the first time last sunday. i do a lot of camping/fishing, so the hatchback design also allows me to drive 2 friends, along with all the other gear we bring. i can fit my mountain bike in the back, and even hauled a 4 compartment file cabinet from my work(didnt fit in my co-workers 2009 tsx).

so yea, great first car for me. im fully satisfied for now.. but one day i will move up to bigger and better things ;)

Not trying to thread hijack, so I'll apologize now but let me know if you're serious about that. I'm debating whether or not to sell mine. I'm really thinking about picking up a WRX and replacing the Scion. 1 owner, 19k miles, 5 speed. PM me if you want to know anything else.

Windshield/glass tech. and student.

Why a Scion?

My brother had 1, and it seemed fun, and a good looking car for the price.

Wanted a bigger car than my Celica...6-5 225 is a tight fit. My daughter talked me into trying one out and loved it.

I also had a civic b4 that kept having theft issues. Got my 08 Spec in summer 07, FOB. Except for the ride quality, it's just as reliable and rattle free as my Civic was.

I used to spend other ppls $$ (accounting), finished a Masters, and now teach HS science.

United States Air Force for 2 1/2 years. Had the car before I joined, but got it because my WRX I had was starting to suck down the 93 Octane, and needing a fair amount of work. (rust on the roof from previous owners bike rack. Expensive services, etc etc.) Plus I beat the living heck out of the car (Blew the intercooler off from too much boost), so me and the wife wanted a good, new, good on gas car.

Retail sales for Verizon Wireless in DE. Between this or wrx. Lower insurance won the battle. Plus I didn't want to depend on commission checks to keep the repo men away lol. Sales income is way too hit or miss...

I'm a Certified Pharmacy Technician. I got a tC because it was the only decent coupe that Toyota had at the time (that was brand new). I wanted to get a Corolla XR-S but my parents wouldn't let me get a manual (they downpaid $10,000 on my car so they had a say in what I bought). All in all, I didn't want the XR-S anyway because it was a Corolla. I didn't want the Solara because it was just ugly. After 5 and 1/2 years, I'm still glad i got the tC.

older folks, especially moms, driving scions just don't make sense to me.

engineer for living, scion tc (with real spoiler not lip) just cause I loved the look ever since 2005. Also, reliable, as good a soundsystem (after adding a sub) as desired, power everything...

The Civic is nice enough, but the legroom is limited these days (had a '01 Civic coupe a while back). The Accord and Altima were a bit more than I wanted to spend, as I'd like to pay it off early with my next reenlistment bonus.

A $1k military rebate helped seal the deal for me, as well as the low interest rates these says (4.39 / 72)

wow I really like that black. Nice car.

I am currently working two full time jobs, one of them will be turning back to part in the near future.

The first job is working at a local Pepsi/Miller Distributor, I work in the warehouse and build orders that go on to delivery trucks at night.

The second job is working the till at a gas station. This will be turning into a part time gig pretty soon.

I pretty much work 80 hours a week right now which kind of sucks but the pay checks are nice.

I went with the tC because the Civic Si was a little out of my price range. I have been a Honda guy for years and wanted to stick with Honda but the tC was cheaper. I love my tC though, don't get me wrong.
