I'd rather the baseball hit the back window than hit a body panel...

It looks tinted as well, so make the parents pay for the window and the tint!

I'm sure you'll get the money eventually, and it could be worse, it coudl have hit the rear left or right quarter panel! You NEVER want to have to deal with major dents there!

Wow, you seem surprisingly calm about this. I know that if this were me, I'd be sueing everybody. I'd also want to carve those 2 kids a new nose.

ya broken glass is always better than dented metal. glass is completely and easily replaced, with no sign past damage like brand new. but i'd be one ____ed a$$ dude myself.

Sounds like you should get the name of the two kids involved and have a little talk with their parents. Let them sort out who is going to apologize and pay for the damages.

I can pretty much guarantee you, the parents will get the kid who did it to fess up.

Assuming they are parents who actually care.

i'd say eye for an eye... tooth for a tooth.

broken glass = broken bones.

Ya, you'd know it was a bad day if one baseball dented both your hood and your door...

Man, get your money back for sure, no doubt!
Tell parents to get the kids away!
Unbelievable!

hate to say it, but somewhere in all of the knowledge I have gained over the years, (not saying that is much) I can almost 100% gaurantee that kids parents are only responsible for damages if the damage was intentionally comited, i.e. vandalism. If they were just playing baseball and an errant ball hit you car, then your outta luck. If however you can prove that the parents we neglignet in leting their kids play baseball in the parking lot then you might have something. Any lawyers out there that can confirm this?

I dont know if it has to be intentional or not... but I do know that the parents are held responsible for their actions in most cases. But talk to them first... maybe they are actually decent human beings and will work it out... if not... maybe something will accidently fly through their window one day

Bummer.
Hope everything gets situated.

Stop by the Central Fl. Toyo/Scion Scion show on May 7th, 7pm.
...even with a messed up window.

if that's the case, jesskitten will need to be purchasing some baseballs to uh... accidentally put holes in those parents' car windows... while playing baseball.... by herself. oops!
