it's not that bad actually considering the 22mpg is a lot of city. another killer is school is 4 miles on the hw, so getting on uses more gas than it saves. also, it's winter here so the car has gotten it's fair share of idle time to warm up.

in the summer i expect at least 24mpg mixed. yay for +1mpg

My tc gets 26 miles per galllon and I try to get more by doing a lot of coasting to stops. I also save the brakes by doing this too!

i would think the people getting closer to 30 (auto or manual) are driving in a warmer climate.. no need to warm up the engine.. i've dropped about 3-4mpg's since winter hit.. it'll come back in the spring..

When gas cost 2 .50 you got to use your moms car and park the tC. Im so happy I have the xA as my daily. It would kill me with gas prices out here. 5 bucks for two damn gallons of 87 petrol!

Pretty easy, actually.

Lots of open highway driving at about 65mph, paired with a warm climate and not gunning the engine.

We could all get 27+ if we took it easy on the gas pedal, but somehow I don't think i'm going to stop passing those damn grannies in the minivans.
