Im sorry anyone saying that they get 40mpg or more, or 20 or less is lying and obviously doesn't know how to calculate MPG. You can attack me now...

Im sorry, you're wrong
Actually i'm pretty good at math

5.25 gallons to travel 218.1 miles equals 41.5 MPG

Honestly the only reason i keep posting my mileage is to let others know that they can get better mileage with the right set up, and it's not luck, i've done it many times. And if you don't believe it, it doesn't really matter, because like Web said to me, im the one that is laughing as i drive past the gas station.

Side story.... To those who believe me, my cousin has an 06 tC and only gets about 23 mpg but beats my a$s in every race we ever ran by atleast a car length, and to test if it was driving skill, we swapped cars and i drove his and beat him in his own car.

I personally believe that has something to do with my mileage. Less power more mileage??

i'm getting around 27-29 thats w/o even touching the highway i even take it up to redline once or twice a tank. just back and forth to work and stuff. i bet if i drove 65 to 70 on the highway for an entire tank i'd get about 35, maybe a tad more.

I TOTALLY agree with you. The trick is to use cruise control and stay around 70 mph. And i think people are assuming i get 40+ mpg on a regular basis, which is untrue, only on long highway trips without traffic or speed changes.

u have gotten over 40mpg? u have filled up and did the math and got 40 miles per gallon? thats awesome if you did. i had a tank where i got 32 once about 50% highway. but i was varying speeds and going kinda fast at some points and also using the a/c. i don't get to go on the highway much or for very long times. i think i did a trip once when i did about 150-175 miles on the highway.

x2. This is the truth with the tC, you will never get over 40 mpg or over. You can get 20 less however, by doing the usual stuff. Anyways, my graph is below:

Gotta love that trip to Vegas, 34.1607 mpg. Highest yet.

I'm done, again. Take it or leave it. And this graph has ZERO relevance to anyone but you. I could show you MY graph and you would say it's fake. It's not worth my time to prove myself. I don't really care.

For anyone that wants to test their gas mileage compared to my "outrageous lies" If anyone here has header, and full cat-back(preferablly 2.5"), lightweight flywheel, and Injen (or comparible) CAI. And plans to travel anytime soon, try this.... Drive in cruise control at 65-70 mph with the windows up and the a/c off. This is very comfortable during night driving or on not-so-hot days. and use BP (89) gas. It is also very important to keep a steady pace, it is ideal to stay away from traffic (stop n go) I doubt anyone has the exact same setup as me but if you're close and planning to travel please try it.

^ Sorry bro. I am not accusing you of anything, it's just that I will believe it when I see it. Perhaps when I get my lighter wheels, carbon fiber hood and trunk, and take out my backseat, then it's a possibility.

Sorry , i took it as an accusation when you said i was lying. Not directly but you said "you will never get over 40 mpg or over" after i said i already did. I understand it's a little unbelievable but the best i can do is show pics of my odo and gas gauge together, which is easy enough to cheat but i can't "prove" it. Obviously 99.9% of the people here will never even have the opportunity to see it in my car so i don't know what else to say, i just hope others see numbers that high eventually and chime in.

How are you measuring the amount of fuel wasted?
