what is your average MPG for the tC?
#261
Last tank was at 16.5 mpg's.... called the dealership n they said if it gets that low again I should have it checked out, but something seems wrong. OK, so I have a short ram intake and an aftermarket exhaust, but neither of the two should mean THAT MUCH LESS mileage. It's outrageous. Things to consider though, I do live in Buffalo, and we get lotta snow. But even still....

Yeah highway cruising is nice. And markymark, Gas mileage for me kinda sucks too. I always fill up wen i reach 1/4 left. Always fill up with 20 bucks. Which is a bit less then 6 gallons here. And i reach about 100 miles before im at teh 1/4 mark again. Could be the cold, Or maybe me driving a bit more rough compared to wen i first got the car. Or maybe the cruising at 90 on the highway lol

Im getting about 23. Damn seattle drivers cant stay one speed on the highway and dont know that the left lane is the fast lane and dont know how to move over when your on there butt. Plus the stop lights are never timed right and cant ever go more than 2 greens in a row. Its unbelievable.

with 80-90% hwy driving, i got 27-29 mpg during winter.. summer's mpg is slightly better at 28-31..
and i have an automatic so that helps saves gas during hwy cruising.. the tc is one of those rare cars where the auto gets better mpg than the manual, esp. on hwy.

I've been hypermiling for the past couple of weeks, and have been getting 37MPG combined, and well over 40MPG on the highway. Really hasn't been too much of a inconvenience, but I dunno if I'll keep it up. It's pretty cool watching the trip ODO pass 140 miles before I even burn up a quarter tank, and watching it hit 250 before half a tank is gone on the fuel level gauge. I'm gonna push to see if I can get a 500+mile tank. Should be easy. BTW, I'm finding that I don't really even have to go *that* slow. I'm just keeping up with traffic instead of zooming around everyone. Takes a couple more minutes to complete my commute, but for 37MPG, it's worth it...
