You have to actually apply for the loan for them to give you a definitive answer on what apr you will get. I went through PNC Bank and they gave me 4.85%. A credit union will give you a lower one typically, but you normally have to be a member.

Only the first hit on your credit counts in 30 days. The rest do not hurt your score. Also, if you get a report from Equifax or any of the large companies, I do not think those look bad on you. Also lets you make sure nothing fishy is on there.

$287.95,

I put 4k down, got it at 4.8% course I guess it counts on what else you put on your car. I put TRD exhaust and the floormats. As well, plus extended warranty.

Let me first say that i work in the mortgage industry and understanding how credit works is part of my job. You can have on average 1 hard credit inquiry per month. 12 per year. Before your score starts to show the 5 point drops. so unless you plan on applying for a hell of alot of credit in the next year. go ahead and shop around for the best rate. Just keep your shopping to a short finite period of time, 2 weeks is a good time period. Your jump in inquiries is much easier explained when they are in a short period of time.

To sum that up you have 12 shots at new credit a year. Don't go over that. If you want to shop yourself around thats fine just call say 4 places. If you like what they all have to say (highly unlikely) then you'll have 8 more inquiries for the rest of the year.

Also NEVER miss a payment on anything but if you absolutely have to pay your House then your car then your credit cards., in that order.

You're a retard if you pay 5k in insurance! You should not be behind the wheel of a car. Why are you going to pay 1/3 of the value of your car in insurance? My advice to you is:
1. To buy a piece of ____ car and get liability insurance, or just skip the insurance all together. The tickets are way cheaper than your rates.
2. Stop driving, Your no good at it!
3. Stop resisting natural selection, you were not ment to procreate.

I think you're the one too stupid to procreate. The tickets for driving without insurance are NOT way cheaper. Apart from the ticket itself, which will probably be $500-$1,000, you will probably have your license suspended for a year, and then you'll pay higher insurance rates for the rest of your life, since driving without a license is a serious traffic offense in most states. In some states, three tickets for driving without insurance or without a license mean a permanent revocation of your license. You'll also serve jail time for your second one.

use the configurator on Scion.com. You can input your money down and change the APR at will

Those numbers don't add up. 5.56 APR over 72 months on 22000 is 360 a month.
Something is wrong. Because if your paying 326 on a 22000 dollar loan you'd be gettting 2.15%APR and I want to know who your lender is to get a rate like that.

I'm going to assume you made a typo and ment 20000 at 326 a month. which makes sense.

I personally don't think the 72 month payment is worth it. sure the payment is smaller but your paying more for a car that will be worth even less after 6 years.

3,585 in interest vs. 2,933 Only 652 dollars spread over 6 years doesn't seem like much. But combine that with the fact that the car is going to drop in value much more then 600 dollars between years 5-6.

A perfect condition top of the line celica hatch from 1999 would go for 9 grand but a dealer would probably give you something like 7.5 for it. The same model from 98 would be worth 7.5 but the dealer would give you something closer to 6 for it.

So for your Lower monthly payments you would pay a total of $2152. $652 for the extra interest you paid and 1500 for the lost value of your car over the last year of the loan. Not exactly chump change. Thats works out to about a months salary.

If you went with the 5 year loan you would keep all of the $2152.

Keep in mind this is all under ideal circumstances and dependent on you making the minimum payments over the 6 years.

Sorry for the long post but i have a rather boring job that gives me lots of free time at my desk

Insurance rates can vary greatly by state and company, but $110/month for insurance sounds pretty good. Really good if you're under 25. I'm 26 and pay that much for my 98 A6. I can't wait to get tC... rates should come down some.
