they should have made it COMPLETELY TRD, BBK, SC(if it wasnt being discontinued), Coilovers (instead of springs and struts)

Personally, I don't like the fact that we have another black color in the group. limited editions should be as crazy as the orange xD or the green xB1. Give me a yellow or a purple or something radically different.

HOWEVER, that being said, I like the fact that they decided to go with performance mods this time instead of appearance.

Even if you all (and most of us do) have different opinions, this RS is more like a 'true' rs in the sense that its not all show, they put some quality parts into this thing.

Rims that actually don't look anything like stock, lowered (first thing any one does on a car usually), strut and sway which are nice also and the TRD CAI which gives a little more power to the engine.

To be honest, this RS is more cost efficient and grants some performance upgrades than ANY of the previous RS tC's.

Also, dont knock the guy who started this thread by saying it sucks...because basically (and indirectly) you're insulting him. I do think that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

I can't see people spending $30,000 on a tC though.

thats the downfall the price would be ridiculous.

im tired of the same color RS' the past 2 now 3 years its been all the same RS3.0 basically superwhite, RS4.0 basically Flint mica, and now the 5.0 another BSP.

ehh i dont mind the color of my rs. the seats are nice and comfy :-D. but you all are right. it is an rs, so why not give it a radical color. pretty disappointed that scion couldnt pair up performance with aesthetic

Get a BSP tC. Put all the TRD parts yourself for personal pleasure. Get better wheels. I don't see any difference besides saving a lot of money.

^^^ didn't someone establish the RS model was cheaper with all the trd mods rather then buying them yourself?

Congrats your w/o cost of tax is the same as mine with taxes. You still haven't added rims, and I still get all the "special badges" you mentioned and more. Not to knock your grammar school edu. but this was simple math. Just for kicks, let's take off all the stuff the RS 5.0 doesn't come with and see what we get. (bare with me this is subtraction a little more difficult than addition)

$21,595
1200 - ground fx
160 - strut bar
485 - CAI
- 300 - spoiler

$19,775

Exactly what I paid and mine still looks better. It's ok you bring out a calculator and check I know you want to.... I'll wait.

Sounds like someone is getting a little upset that no one likes the car he just bought. Its just opinions man, in the end its YOUR $, buy what YOU like. But honestly the car just looks like a Black TC with special wheels and red seats.

I was planning to trade my tC to get the RS5.0 . Now that my car was hit last weekend I've been thinking it over some. That it was involved in an accident goes against the car's value and in May it'll be 2 years that I will have owned the car(and payments made) and to start over again on payments for 5 more years is something I'm not looking forward to. If I wasn't in my Spec tC now then I'd be going for the RS5.0.

Reason why I thought I paid less was I heard from Edmunds.com and saw online dealer sites had these 5.0s for $20k+.

I was at a dealership last night hoping to see one. They didn't have one. But I did see the other base models & somewhat accessorized tCs. I clearly see least $19k! I'm sorry to admit this out loud but if I wanted to buy a tC at the moment from there...that '06 BCP with 41k miles seems like a better deal for 13,8xx-ish on the used side. JMO

I'm not getting mad. IMO I still like the RS and think that it is very much worth the money. I just wanted to stop the idea that's going around that it cost more.

What springs/struts cost $1200? You can adjustable coilovers for that much money.

that math is wrong according to my calculator actually

i dont know what's so hard to understand, the base price for a brand new stock tC is lower than the base price for the rs 5...its just that simple

I like how he changed the price of the lip kit from $1000 to $1200.

And again, $485 for a CAI? Where the ____ are you coming up with these prices?
