For example, if you're parked on the side of the road in a situation where you don't use your hazard lights (or even if you do), use your parking lights so that you're not throwing useless headlight light onto incoming traffic (like on a road at night).
In the drive-thru, while I'm waiting for my food, I usually turn off the engine, pull up the handbrake, and turn my headlights to parking lights. Because I'm parked, temporarily.
And so forth.

nah thats dumb.. when your stopped on the side of the road you use your hazard lights regardless because it is easier to notice blinking lights and it shows that you are stopped.
and they are obviously for driving use.. because the whole dashboard lights up along with the speedometer ..why would you need that..while your parked...

Park Light Assembly Info
Parking lights aren't mandatory, but they keep you safe by letting other drivers know where you are when you're taking a rest on the side of the road or in an abnormal spot.
The parking light is really not actually used as such in modern driving. This name is more of a throwback to days gone by. When originally named, the parking light was used to illuminate a vehicle when it was parked, because streetlights and special off the road parking areas had not yet become common. Leaving your car parked on the side of a dark road without some warning of its presence was a hazard to both your vehicle, and to other drivers. The parking light was entirely separate from the headlight system. They were not lit when the headlights were turned on as they are in modern vehicles. The purpose of the parking light has changed over the years. Wider roads allowing room for on street parking with no obstruction of the driving lanes have made their original purpose obsolete. The parking light still serves an important function in driving safety, used more as a marker light to make vehicles more visible at night, especially from the side view. Such marker lights became mandatory in 1968, to improve safety and vehicle visibility on the roads. The parking light can also be helpful as backup lighting if you have a headlight burn out during driving. The glow of the parking light can help your vehicle be more visible to oncoming drivers even with only one headlight, making it easier for others to determine that a car, not a motorcycle is approaching.

i was gonna say maybe a blind person has a bank account and wants to use the ATM. Granted they cant drive, but they could easily be driven to the ATM and then get out of the car and use it...

blind people feel there way around...cuz they cant see...duh.
so they feel their way around to find a bathroom just like they feel theyre way around to find everything else.
if they hit a door with their stick then they touch the door and at least know its a bathroom...
