Default Window won't go down

I got a carwash today, and about 5 minutes after I left the place, I go to roll down both windows, and the passenger side won't come down. Obviously water got in there somewhere. I didn't bother the carwash people about it - not their fault really. Anyway, Is this a common issue? Will Scion fix this free of charge? I'll call them tomorrow morning, hopefully I can get this fixed before Monday.

It's really bothering me. I can't stand driving without both windows down atleast half way. I feel so claustrophobic with them up.

Also, are any of the lights in the door handles blinking, or are they a solid color.

If they are blinking then they just need to be reset to work.

If solid then its something in the wiring or water damage.

Yeah, either a wire or the wire harness is loose, or the water got it.

But, since it is an 06 you should still be under warranty and they will fix it for you.

i had this issue when it rained once and when i stopped the water from the roof didnt run down the front but came in the window...it shorted out my windows but instead of not going down they wouldnt go up...every time i took my finger off the button they went down again...take it to the dealer, if it is still under warranty they will cover it

Embarassing story time....I brought my tC into the dealership because the passenger window wouldn't roll down either. I had been driving my housemate around the day before, and he had been slamming the door shut a lot (he's from Italy...I guess Euro car doors need a lot of force?) so I assumed he broke something. The very attractive repair dept lady sat next to me on the passenger side, reached right across my lap (did i mention she's hot?), and hit the window lock button, followed by a smile as she rolled down the window.

It was like middle school all over again.

buwahahahahaha... you have no idea how many people go thru this when the car offers the "window lock" feature... i had a friend have this happen to her (yes, actually someone else, not me). It was pretty funny

My passenger window and sun roof were really slow and then stoped working. Since my battery was disconnected the day before I looked under my hood. The red cap that shows the battery is + on the side was VERY tight, and when I finially poped it off every thing started working again, not sure how that would effect the windows and probally didn't, but it hasnt happened since.

AFter i installed the componet speakers, My driver's door lock button wasn't working. I press all the button and make sure everything else was working fine. The wire in the driver side panel was loose.
AFter i fix that. I didn't realize i hit window lock button, I alway thought that was door lock button.

Lucky i found this post on SL.
