Default Wood Grain Questions

I finally saw a tC with wood grain dash. My question is this, since you tape the wood grain pieces onto your already existing interior, how well will it hold?? Also, If I decide I don't like it, how easy is it to remove, and will the tape mess up the original interior???

It will hold great but it will look bulky.. the tape to use is double sided scotch tape I forgot what it was called but its kinda bulky but its perfect to tape off if u dont like it but if it leaves sticky stuff its quite fine nothing but a little water and cloth cant do

the "tape" is 3M stuff so it's gonna hold on.....really well....! What i'd do if i were you is take some clear tape to hold it up and see if you like it first. That stuff doesn't exactly just come back off. The tape itself my not damage the part but the chemicals you have to use to get it off might. Just some food for thought

wood grain in a tc seems out of place, unless you got leather i gues. brush aluminum or CF might look better.

It will hold just fine, I had it done in my 02 Honda Accord Coupe and never had a problem with it.

Have you ever had wood trim interior??? It scratches, very easily and once it is scratched it will be irritating to you.

I have had it in my 2 of my Accord Coupes (98 & 02) and I had it in my BMW 325ci. It is a pain in the a$$...

i had wood in my corolla, but it had a layer of soft clear plastic over it, it wouldn't let you scratch it, no, it wasn't the protective coating it comes shipped in, haha

i'm thinking of doing the brushed alluminum

I think I remember the Nissan (once Datsun) 280ZX being refered to as a personal luxury car. Not a big bulky traditional luxury car. Rathers something sporty with a luxurious touch. Put the wood in the TC its sounds real personal.

The Buick Reatta used the interior dimensions of the Riviera. Some have taken the wood from those cars and added it to their Reattas. A nice touch. But then, there were only 25000 Reattas built during their four year run

Ive thought of having custom made wood in my tC.

You might not like it, but at least your not looking at it.

IMO its better then an ugly body kit of any kind.
