Would it hurt to drive an automatic tC like a manual(starting from L all the way up to D)??

lol power shifting is TERRIBLE for your transmission. If you wanted a manual, you should have bought a manual.

Shifting an auto messes up the solenoids and plates that shift the transmission when in auto mode. Only use the other gears when you're engine braking down large declines or going uphill.

i wastn' even there when my dad went out to pick out the car, hahaha..
it was one of those unexpected things..
ahaha that was three years ago.. so its kinda late now to change anything..
besides that, i drive alot.. i hate getting in stuck traffic on hot afternoon in LA

well, whatever, do not power shift unless you have too. ie: bad weather, up a really steep hill. Otherwise you will destroy your transmission.

Yeah an extra hand is pretty good perk about having an autotragic...
...but I still prefer my 5 speed.

Yeah. There are Pros and Cons to both.
All depends on what your Goal is for the Car.
I wouldn't have Bought an Auto if I wanted more than 250-300whp in the end..
That's why I'm looking for a New Project, possibly a 240.

Cars are meant for driving in, not dining in.
IMO they should abolish all autos and make people drive manuals to concentrate more on the road. Plus it's twice as fun to drive a manual and after your first couple hundred miles, even in traffic you forget your switching through gears

I agree with you in some aspects.
I originally learned to Drive Stick, but Chicago has really bad Traffic during Rush Hour, and I got aggravated.
The last time I Drove a Manual, was teaching my Friend how to Drive his 92' TSI, and yeah, it was a lot more fun.
It depends on the Person, its just not Practical for ME to Drive a Manual as a Daily Driver. If I were a Track Guy, of course.. but again, not me.

Oh trust me I know where your coming from. I live off of a VERY busy road and when it's baseball season, or shopping season, it takes me 30minutes to go two miles.
But I traded my first tc (FM auto) for my current one so I could have the 5spd. Never regretted it, despite stalling like 4 times at green lights.

Yea it was the first day I had the car with two friends in it, and I was trying too hard. The tc clutch to me is a little weirder to drive than any other i've driven, can't pinpoint why
I can drive it smooth as an auto now, no worries, lol

My dad's car was the first manual I drove...an 02 Mazda Protege5. I remember sitting at a stoplight after only having driven it for a week (this was when I still had my permit) and thought it was in first and it kept stalling and stalling and stalling. All these cars were stacking up behind me, and my dad reaches over and puts it in first...apparently I was too noobish to distinguish 1st and 3rd.
