Default Wrecked :((((

Yesterday I was coming into my school parking lot while other cars were coming out of it. The exit of the lot is a four way intersection. I was going straight with a green light, while this girl was coming out and turning left on an unprotected green light. She hit the driver's side of my car, which caused my rear to lose grip and I slid towards the left into the driver's side of the car behind her, hitting him with my front corner.

I didn't get any pics of my car at the scene because it was cold and other people had to get out of the lot so the police hurried us out of there. here's some from after.

^pic of the guy that I hit. didn't get any of the girl that hit me.

She is at fault right? Because she had an unprotected left turn and didn't yield to me? Will I be blamed for hitting the other guy? The spin happened quickly and I couldn't do anything.

I had plans to put in springs and exhaust over christmas break and now this happens.

wow...iono this might run you around 5 grand to fix. I think they have outer door replacements and you can just replace the bumper. The quarter panel is what you have to worry about. Hopefully your insurance or there insurance covers the repair. I know it sucks...just hope for the best.

Well if the police report supports what you said, the girl should be at fault for failing to yield. The car is not damaged enough to be totalled and her insurance should cover your car and the guys car you hit.

Wow, sorry to hear that. The third party must've been thinking FML in the way they got involved.

That sucks A LOT, that is going to cost a lot more than 5k, I would say it is going to like 8k-9k. Hopefully they will show she is at fault and you wont have any problems.

Does her insurance have to cover you both if shes at fault?

if the woman caused the accident which caused him to crash into that person she is liable for that car damage too.

It's not totalled, but it is like 8k worth of damage on your car.
Mine was about half as bad as that and was 5k to fix
sorry about your ride

ahhhhh I don't want it to be totaled..its been such a short time and I had plans..

She claims that a car ahead of her made the left turn and prevented her from seeing me coming. While it is true that a car did make the left turn in front of me, I was at a safe distance from it. I had enough time to notice her begin to turn and honk my horn, meaning she should have had plenty of time to notice oncoming traffic. The thing is that no traffic usually ever comes the direction I was coming from, so being the careless high school drivers that they are, most people don't bother to even consider looking before turning left.

Ehh, thats no good man. Luckily you're okay. Unfortunately in the land of "no fault insurance' whoever hit who is the one at fault. Insurance will not car that she hit you and then you hit him. She is to blame for you're damage and you're to blame for the other guys damage although she caused it. You will most likely need to come to an agreement with her and the other guy to make her pay for his damage or prove it in court if she refuses.

Dude this sucks. Whats with everyone in SugarLand getting their rides smashed?

What intersection did this occur? I used to go to Kempner HS and now attend WCJC. Just wondering.

I go to Austin HS so this was on FM1464 at the intersection where the entrance of the parking lot is.

The police didn't give me a report at the scene of the accident, how can I get a copy? Give the sheriff's office a call?
