The Celica has always been a "girlie" car. The Scion in an unofficial Celica replacement so I wouldn't be surprised if women flock to buy it. But to be honest, from what I've seen, most tC drivers are men 18 - 26years old. xA drivers are normally men & women in their 30s and xB drivers are normally late 30s to late 40s.

I live in L.A. county so results may vary.

When I had my 350z, I saw tons of chicks driving them around.
Granted they were all old enough to be my mom.
But I saw more chicks than guys.

More to think about when saying the TC is a chick car.

It gets into the whole muscle car vs 4 banger vs american vs foreign car argument.. all of which are stupid. The dumbest thing I hear is people who hate a car straight out because it is either foreign or domestic. Hate to break it to them both, but they both can be great cars. They will all hate me when they see a tC and an old GTO (someday ) sitting side by side in my driveway. I too love the older cars.. probably more than the newer ones in some cases. People who only like straight line cars, 4 bangers, american, german, etc are not car people and know little about them over all. They are clinging to a certain type of car for no reason. I like cars, period, some I like some I hate. To the german car worshipers.. hate to break it to them, but they are not the most reliable car out there. Most are sold or traded in by the original owner in 30,000 miles, and they refuse to admit their precious beamer ever had an issue. My friends back and forth to work 3.25 has saggy doors, runs funny off and on and is starting to rattle after 3 years and about 20k. I like BMW, but feel they are one of the most overrated and over priced cars in the world. They are not bettter in reliability than a toyota or honda, and cling to the same few body styles for year after year after year.. afraid to change and run off thier bmw worshiping followers who buy for the known look and logo.

And to not like a car because a lot of girls buy it is by far, the stupidest, most naive and immature thing yet.

WOW!! since when is it a crime for girls to be driving around fixed up cars? and labeling a car a "GIRLS" car just because you see more of them in one is pretty sexist and immature. First of all girls can fix up cars as well as guys..sometimes better. If you have a problem with it, why dont you mod it..simple!!

Women should just stick to standing next to car and look pretty.

I think all of this feminist bull crap is just irritating.

There maybe a few chicks out there with kick ___ rides, but I have NEVER come across one. I've met many guys with cool rides they tricked themselves, been to dozens and dozens of shows and events, and have yet to meet ATLEAST one chick who worked on her car by herself and won any sports event.

Women can NEVER be as great as men in sports. God, Satan... or who ever you believe created us, did NOT create us to be physically equal, period.

I'm not putting women down, infact, I put them up on a pedestal. I love my wife and my mom, but I just think that a wrench and a rag doesn't belong in their hands.

Wow... you are really up there on the evolutionary ladder

While I do agree that we were created different (but not un-equal) and that we each are better at certain things.. cars is not one of them. I know two very beautiful and talented women that were close friends of mine in college, and I would bet you would have a tough time keeping up with them in a garage. As a matter of fact, one was working on a 10 second chevy the last time I talked to her. BY HER SELF. Her husband is moderate at best under the hood.

No, we are not created physically the same, and yes men are typically larger and more muscular by design, but I fail to see in any way how that makes us any different in the area of car design.

There may be more men in the realm of custom cars.. but I would say about 10% of them have any REAL talent. Look at the jack **** "tuner" shops, "tuner" magazines and dealership "ASE" techs that dont know thier a$$ from a hole in the ground. Just because the area is filled mainly with men doesnt mean most of them know what the hell they are doing, because most dont. Sorry, slapping a floppy body kit, a wing and and intake that does zero but look good does not mean someone is GOOD at what they are doing, it just means they are doing it. And many cars I see win at shows are laughable, especially shows judged by "tuner" kids.

A car is a car... PERIOD. Doesnt matter who the majority of drivers are. If you project what you are or who someone else is on the car they drive.. well, you are a child that needs to grow up. I drive what I want, and if someone wants to come up and call me something because of it.. I thoroughly welcome them to come within arms reach and do it :D
