it may actually works, but don't expect too much, the engine may work a little bit more efficient, but power boost? may be not.

and, 80 dollars for two magnet and a holder? i don't care if it's made in Mars, that's way too expensive for magnet. my college lab ultra strong force magnet cost less than 5 dollars a piece.

What about the turbonator?
http://www.turbonator.com
Do you think that works? And do you think either the Turbonator or the MaxPower could be harmfull?

Yes, there are some threads here that discuss them breaking apart and going into the engine. I would stay away from them.

It reminds me of those Ca Lottery commercials:

Upside: Maybe a little performance boost
Downside: Your engine is now a boat anchor and not covered by warranty.

(Don't worry tho, you can get the price of the Turbonator refunded, just not the repairs)

Yikes! So much for a small, cheap, simple power boost. I think I'll pass.

You've got to be ____ting me. It's a magnet.

I hope the sell a million of these things, and they all cause the vehicle to crash, explode, and kill all the passengers inside.

Call it the MaxPower Darwinator 1000.

Here's what I read:

Was it worth it? No!

Why? Aside from the fact that it was not a hugely noticeable difference........IT ALMOST F*CKING KILLED ME.

These things are snipped and bent into shape out of flimsy metal.

I was driving down the road one day when my car started to accelerate out of control as if I had the gas pedal floored. It would continue doing this even with my foot completely off the gas pedal.....NOT GOOD. It decided to do this as I was approaching a part of the road that curves nearly 90 degrees........EVEN WORSE. As I was approaching this turn..........my car was approaching 90 miles per hour. This car was a 1987 240 Volvo. Not a high performance handling machine.........though if I did crash, at least I was riding in a tank. To decrease my speed in order to take the turn I had to shift into neutral......allowing my engine to rev out of control and probably close to destruction. I was able to slow down and take the turn. However, this street not only curved, it was also uphill. So, once around the turn, I had to shift back into drive to get up the hill to a safe stopping point. I threw it back into drive, which sounded really bad on the tranny and probably was. Again, the car was accelerating out of my control.......so once I got far enough up the hill to a point where I could pull into a parking lot of some sort, I turned the car off.......and coasted into a parking lot with my power steering and brakes disabled now cause my car was turned off.

Now safely stopped in the parking lot, I took a few moments to make sure I was actually still alive and then thank God and my lucky stars for that fact. Then it was time to figure out what the hell just happened. So, I got out of the car, popped the hood, looked around, and started scratching my head. I spent a few minutes head scratching, and feeling completely stumped, when all of a sudden a light went on in my head. I thought to myself "Oh geeze.........you gotta be sh*tting me." I pulled a screw driver out of my car, and disconnected my intake tube from my throttle body. I reached my fingers into the throttle body, and sure enough the throttle plate was wedged open (hence the out of control acceleration). Wedging it open was a piece of metal. I pulled the piece of metal out, and it was one of the blades of this POS wannabe power increasing modification.

THAT DAMN THING FELL APART INSIDE MY ENGINE.......AND COULD HAVE KILLED ME AND OTHERS IN THE PROCESS. The slight power increase that I thought I felt was NOT WORTH the risk that it created.

DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT. REAL power increases are gonna cost you money........just get used to it. If you want any significant power increase, the least expensive option will be a well designed and installed nitrous set up.

The magnets sound like a joke too. With my luck they would come loose and land on the ecu blanking out any mem it had.

The way I see it is if these little tweaks really worked AND weren't potentially harmful, then why wouldn't Toyota put them on to begin with?

my friend bought the turbonator for his 96 Ford Ranger...2.something liter engine...

That thing did not help with HP at all, all it did was make some swirling sound making it sound like a supercharger...

NO HP GAIN...we did burnout attempts...NOTHING
SAME GAS MILEAGE...tested it to E bar...

Turbonator...Fake advertisement...

The magnet bit...

I'd rig up my own electrical magnet with the cars electrical system...that way, while I'm sending a charge to the magnet, it has an even stronger mag field...so...it works better..hahaha...

Dose any one know more HP = LESS MPG?
How you gain 35 HP while 33% better MPG?

same to the Mag.

Air---fuel have to be in some kind of ratio, else more aire or more fuel to engine don't increase ALOT POWER. It may even decrease your power too.
Do the math,

the turbonator aka Tornado intake "supercharger" is totally false..

consumer reports did a study on all the intake type "fuel savers/superchargers"

all of which did nothing when tested

so its a doo doo idea.. just like the plastic supercharger which is a bilge pump for boats

all crap

interested...few questions :?:

Wouldn't the magnets collect tiny iron or whatever metal particles which would then cause it to clog!?!?!?

or the magnets would slow down the flow of the "molecules" by realigning them

or the fact that someone is stupid enough to by this POS for 80 bucks ! :D
