I woudnt want to make the tc fast. Id just get a better platform altogether. The tc isnt meant for speed, sure you can turbo it up, make it more peppy. But in the end, its still slow. If you want to play with the big boys, you gotta spend big boy cash. The tc is an economy car that you can add a little swag too with a little turbo kit. Thats all.

to be honest who cares what someone thinks is fast, i like the look and the cost of my car and its fun for me, i have owned faster, but you guys are comparing corvettes to a tC, how about compare equal cars and price, for the money and what can be done they are quick,
for instance a stock auto v8 mustang is a 14 sec car, after installing a turbo or whatever you want to do to the tc you are as fast as that, and you have the right to tell them how you made that power with a 4cyl.
there is always something faster no matter what you do, thats why i gave up, where im from is the record holding pump gas hp making rambler that puts down 1700hp and is still driven on the street, car runs high 7sec 1/4 mile times. and he is doing it with a car that he has owned since he was 16 and everyone teased and laughed at him for doing, now he has an all steel body, 4-door, turbo, efi small block chevy rambler that can't be touched by any other street car around.
so build what you want and enjoy it, thats what makes this hobby so much fun, thqts what makes posting on forums so stupid is cause there is always someone telling you what they would do, WHO CARES, either say you like it or you dont, if everyone listened to the same one guy that always voices his thought about what "he" would do, then there would be a bunch of the same looking cars and we would be no better off then buying stock and leaving it at that.
keep it up yellow, everything will work itself out and you'll be happy with the end results!!!

its not about built vs. bought guys.
its about what platform you start with.
sure, modding is fun, but at the end of the day a FWD Turbo car is gonna have traction problems and horrible launches vs. RWD or AWD.

true yellow, but with the right stuff it can be done, upgraded half-shafts, lsd and some sticky tires and your good to go, same thing goes with a rwd car, on street tires with some power to them they still have traction problems, and with sticky tires you have a chance to break rearends, twist driveshafts, ect....trust me.
like its been said before, you have to pay to play. no matter the platform, if you start modding/racing, you'll run into issues, its the name of the game

idk what im doing yet.
ran into another problem today.
the wire that was resting on my axle was halfway on one of the boots so it totally destroyed it and all the grease leaked out all over the subframe.
i need to go to the dealer and get the parts i need to fix it.
i also need to find somewhere to get the right tools to get the axle off.
