So ever since I've been stuck with an automatic ( i saved about three grand), my dreams of modding the car kinda washed away. Then I come on here, and I see all your amazing tc's and I feel lame.

So my question is, If I go to shows and stuff, not really to enter, just to meet some fellow scion owners, does it just look stupid?

I see you guys throw around "rice" and stuff a lot, so I don't really wanna look like a little kid who thinks he's the ____, cause I already have accepted the fact I'm slow.

i know this is kinda a wierd post, its just been kinda on my mind lately?

not really, people go to shows to show off their rides.

Any scion owner who pokes fun at you for being stock is a ***** and you should proceed to slap them across the head.

Not everyone is in the same financial situation, not everyone can afford mods.

WITH THAT said, there are plenty of mods you can do that won't break the bank and will keep your car stylish at shows :D

Like I know it sounds lame, but I don't wanna go turbo, and I don't see the point in spending a grand for some bolt ons that really wont do much. guess thats what appearance mods are for. yay

The point of scion is to make the car yours. If someone else doesn't like it they can suck a big one.

I can tell you now that people will not like my car when its done, but I am happy with it and love this car. So it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

Some easy and semi cheap ones are Cold Air Intake, VRD Grills, Taillights and smoking various pieces. (Not in that way pervs)

There is a lot you can do with a limited budget.

And to repeat what Mouse said, We are all a family.

BTW Mouse what is your name? We seem to be stalking each other all the time ha ha.

 

hmm on a black car, i'm not too sure I like it. I was debating the 5AD or the OEM lipkits and went OEM because it just looks nicer on darker cars.

5axis is for lighter colored cars IMO

You can always go S/C with an auto. Its not bad if done right. I think I am at 199whp with an auto.

 

yea... was kinda thinking of the s/c. idkkk. maybe someday, when I run out of other things that seem more necessary to me.(Need some new rims)




but yea, got the CAI in, double din pioneer deck, couple 12" kickers, dropped it about 2", deciding about some grills, already smoked my tails, and getting some HID's this week , and some other useless time killing mods

 

See so right there you aren't stock. What kickers are you using?

I have some of the CVR's and love them.

but yeah u can do lots and still have fun wit ur car, show car nice sound nice exhaust etc. u can always go boost 250whp about not bad but u can always do basic bolt ons, even wit a manual u don't get much out of it but watever sounds good. don't let the fact that u have an auto ruin ur "modding" hopes. do wat u want u know? nice sexy drop nice sounding exhaust and lip kit ur set
