yeah even though it doesn look like much chances are it will go up (estimate) my car was estimated at 4/5k when i got into an accident in september, but when i took it to get fixed the body shop estimated about 2g's more so it came out to 7k$

even after i stressed it multiple times to, no one has checked yet for underbody damage! i told them multiple times i went up over a median and its a good possibility and no one ever made any note of that sort! he also said he has to run it through the gears on the lift to make sure there is no tranny damage!

yup same with me noone checked underneath the car at all till it was at the body shop. and thats when the extra money came into play. but you wont be charged for any of it though, the insurance gave u an estimate now if u need more money when the body shop does an estimate theyll send the info over to ur insurance and the insurance will send them another check to either u or them for the extra cash needed to fix the car. if it comes to u all u have to do is jus give it to the shop

so just as a quick update

i was in the area and i stopped by revision to see wth is taking so damn long. Mark (the owner) and drew (handler) were not in today but the car was coming out of the shop as i was pulling in and there was a very nice mechanic who said he would try to give me the best update he can. As far as suspension goes they found more suspension damage today (idk why it took a month to find all this) and one of the things listed was hub assembly and axle. The mechanic said the axle was pushed into the trans however he does not feel that the trans is damaged however is not 100% sure. so i dont think they have ordered any parts and they are waiting for a 3rd supplement approval lol! This is a little redic but the mech i talked to was very reassuring and im just going to call tom to discuss a few things with them!

well thats the only thing im not uneasy about. The suspension tech at revision is great. when the owner and claim handler were not there i stopped by and i told him who i was. we had a great convo and i found out he has been doing tranny and suspensions for 20-30 years. He tried to update me the best he could (he didnt have to but again he is a great worker) if only the rest of the shop had his work ethic! he had my suspension work done in three hours yet my car has been there for over 2.5 months!

on another note, my brother in law is a master toyota technician and he will test drive and throughly inspect my car. I used to work for toyota too so my friends at the body shop said when its done, they will review the body work! But when i go to pick up the car, i will inspect every inch and put it through its paces to make sure nothing is wrong!

Wow, I’m so sorry to hear about your baby and it suck that you have to go through all of that. I know how you feel but unfortunately my baby was taken away from me. Well as long as you are alright that’s all that really matters. Take care and hope your ride is in good condition.

Thank you for your kind words bro. ____ happens and you try to make the best of it but when it's not ur fault and your constantly getting screwed, it is the worst feeling. I feel like I'm battling the insurance and revision and everyone is working against me or not listening

Did your insurance take your car there or did you choose to take it there? honestly I would pull your car from there and take it to another shop. I would raise absolute hell if I were going through this..then again I'm not a very patient person lol

good luck with everything.

ok ok chill out I didn't know that. It just seems like you're getting such a huge run around that it's going to take even longer for your car to be done that's all.

oh i wasnt mad at you, i was just explaining the situation which in any case is basically a catch 22. if i had pulled my car out, it would have been a ____ load more money out of pocket but if i left it there it would have been a ____load more time. either way i loose!

i did contemplate pulling it out bet heres the thing, not only am i paying the tow bill but everything that the insurance has already paid for revision to do, i would have to come up with out of pocket to pay the next body shop. well from what i know, were just waiting on one part to put the bumper on, then they just have to wash it!

I would not let them wash it, screw that when they are done bring the car home asap and clean it yourself. When my body shop was finished with my car they washed it....I wish they had not washed since they swirled the entire paint even the new paint that they put on. They guys where supposed to be the best around the boston area
