lol yeh man thats why i got hesitant, i didnt know what was going to come of this or how long it would take...I picked it up from the body shop today since it was useless sitting there. as i was driving i noticed it consistently pulled to the right but i didnt know if it was my imagination/normal operation or if there is really something wrong. Anywho i took the day of tom so i can go to toyota and have my brother in law tell me what he thinks. If he can give me proof on if something is wrong and if its accident related...the car will become totaled, if not than im sol. The body shop still has not buffed it yet, fixed my interior, and bumper so thats going to be another headache. god i wish they would have just totaled it ! i love this car but its such a huge hassle, one week of driving, two weeks in the shop is what it seems like!

took the car to fitz toyota today and took a test drive with two technicians. They seem to think it might be as simple as uneven tread wear causing it to pull. I checked the tread wear on the tires and they dont seem to be that far off...maybe 1/32" of an inch max but i dont know if thats enough to cause it to pull as bad as it was!

well i finally took it to toyota today, they checked the tires, wheels and alignment and it still was pulling, they think one of two things.
A) The body shop installed something incorrectly
B) One of the numerous junkyard parts that state farm put in was a trashed/bent part

toyota did a
1. tire balance
2. tire rotation
3. cross rotation
4. alignment
and none of those things solved the issue
when state farm fixed my car, they used all junkyard and re-maned parts, toyota thought one or multiple parts that they used could have been bent. So before they had so many variables that they just couldnt track down the issue so the wrote up an estimate to replace all the junkyard parts and state farm just said screw it, dont bother. On top of that, the accident bent my subframe, whos to say that my frame was not slightly twisted or what not i mean if you look at my windshield it almost looks like one side of the frame is bellowed out a tad. Again there was just to many issues after the initial repair and it should have been totaled when they found the sub-frame to be bent but it wasnt. i spent the last 4 hours taking parts of the car and to be honest it almost brought a tear, 2.5 years of hard work to be stripped in 3-4 hrs!

Yea that sucks, but i guess it is better than driving a car that could have problems that could cause an accident. However I know it would suck to wait all the time for it to get it fixed and think you are going to have your car back, then for it to be taken away again.

Bottom line, you are really better off with the car being totaled instead of spending the rest of the time you have the car trying to get it right. Just not worth it.
Good luck on your new car, whatever it may be.
