Well, I thought of that:

1) The car has an immobilizer. Every "car thief" will know this before breaking into it
2) I keep nothing in view from the outside. The cover on the stereo stays closed
3) There is an upgraded alarm. So, a thief has to break into a car that he knows will set off the alarm.... all for the off chance that something is "hidden" out of sight? I doubt it
4) The glove box is also kept locked. Again, the thief would set the alarm and then take more time to break open the glove box? Probably not
5) It has lojack on it. So even if he does steal it, I'll get it back in pretty short time
6) I have insurance

I'm not really worried.

All the niceties sound just like my Camry, which I love.

Is there a gauge brightness adjustment?

Default pleasant surprise...

I dont know about the rest of you tC owners, but i think my friends and family have been more pleasantly surprised with my car then myself. At LEAST half the people ive shown the car to have said something along the lines of "OH! That car is sweet, I thought you were getting one of those weird box cars..." Then im forced to stick up for the xB...

fuel economy shows up quite different with a brand new car that has less than 1000 miles on it. This is when you break-in the car. ie: don't idle in the car for too long, don't keep at the same speed for too long a time, and most especially: try as best as possible to not exceed 60mph for the first thousand miles. Plus you should get an oil change as soon as you hit 1000 miles, and Scion gives you three free oil changes, which is cool. All of this creates a more stable fuel economy that comes very close to the one listed on the sticker. And you're engine will run more smoothly in the years to come, like when you hit 100000 miles.

When I drove to Cerritos Auto Square with my brother to look for an S2000, the salespeople swarmed my car and started asking all sorts of questions. They were very impressed with the tC, but it was a bit unnerving to have all these Honda salesmen praise a Scion.

Nonsense.
Agreed.

I just stopped by a Chevy dealer with my friend who's looking at Colorados. One of the salesman said "Is that the new Scion coupe?" and we started talking about it. I was surprised he knew what a Scion was, let alone the tC. He said he liked it a lot, especially compared to the xA and xB.

I like the button that drops people's jaws. I work next to a Chinese Buffet and its employees always hang out out back of the place. Well I park out back, and when I go and start the car, their jaws drop and they stare. I got 6 of them last night with it. Oh yea, button is located and pressed whenever you start the car. It is in the ignition somewhere.

I haven't got mine yet, but I was wondering if there was a way to lower the seat. I felt like I was sitting way high in it. Where is that located?

Pretty sure it's the lever on the side of the seat farthest back (away from the dash)
