Default Is $200+Installation Really Worth the TRD Lowering Springs?

I'm planning to get to my Scion dealer tomorrow and order a tC. The TRD Lowering Springs only lower the thing 25mm.

I was hoping 2 or 3 inches, lol. What's your view?

Thanks.

Depends how low you wanna go. TRD is only 1.25", you want 2-3" so TRD won't be for you.

there aren't any springs that are worth the springs + INSANE DEALER INSTALLTION CHARGES. My dealer quoted me at 500 to install + the springs. I have seen some people on here say that their dealer quoted as much as like 900 BUCKS. Do the install yourself. I have never done an install and did my TRD Springs. Took all day but well worth saving 500 bucks.

BTW, for the drop you're looking for, you may want to look into Tein S-Techs. These will give you the biggest drop without going coilovers.

Oh, and save the cash...DIY. May take you all day like Shoe_Here said, but definitely worth it and you learn something too.

I had never installed springs before and installed my tanabe DF210s with the help of one other person in a few hours. It wasn't really hard at all and I used a DIY guide from here on ScionLife. I'd say the cost from the dealer is more than I'd want to spend, but you have to consider the warranty you'd get from them as well.

If you're looking for an aggressive drop, my DF210's are settling in at around a 3" drop all the way around. I paid about $140 (if I remember correctly) for the springs including shipping.

That would be me
Springs (which they would only install if I brought them from them),
labor,
2 wheel alignments (why two I don't know):

$900,

trying to find a half decent dealership in NJ:

priceless

I then brought s-techs and cmaber arms, almost got ...hmmmm whats' his face.... down in toms river to do the install (jeff that's it) whole thing would have cost maybe $250, but then the wife played the vito card. So I stayed stock, which I then discovered was a good thing, becuase anything lower than stock I couldn't get up my driveway to my garage. lol

When I price it online, it has an " * " next to the TRD Springs, and says that installation is not included....

Bear in mind that a 2-3" drop on a TC with North of Albany winters and snow will be a nightmare.

You should look into Hotchkis's products as well.

Look in my profile or my ride pics at the bottom of my sig., I'm riding on TRD springs and have 17"wheels. If you are planning on getting a body kit or lip kit in the future, I would suggest getting TRD, good luck.

The TRD springs i can purchase at Toyota right?

How about TRD shocks i can get it there too?

I made a post.. what is the MIN DROP for TRD springs?

I hope i can get TRD shocks/springs in one place.

Also how good does Spings/Shocks last.
