Default alignment question...

saturday im going to have some friends help me install S-Techs on my car... sunday is an AutoX event that i was going to participate in... should i not race if i dont get it aligned first? as if autoX isnt bad enough for the tires (225/35/19) with out the alignment would i be better off not playing?

racing is not worth $600 to me (new tires)

i don't think one day of it will hurt anything, i wouldn't worry about it. i mean do get it aligned but one day won't hurt anything.

The springs won't make a huge difference in handling, but stechs will throw your camber way off, so don't put too many miles on them without an alignment or it can cause pretty bad tire wear.

Don't get it aligned until the springs have settled, give it two weeks or so!

Your tires will be OK, but your performance may suffer from a poor alignment. Get an alignment after the springs have settled and go and have fun this weekend, but don't expect top times.

I put TRD springs in and drove normally for 150 miles or so before an alignment. I could see the wear pattern on the tires. It was starting to get some cupping on the rear tires. I say drop it and get an alignment before driving too much. I wouldn't go autox with an out of alignment car.

I never even got an allignment when i had TRDs, unless they did it when the dealer installed them, and the sTechs drop WAY lower.
If you dead set on doign the install on Saturday, don't AutoX on Sunday. Just drive normally for a week or 2 and then get an allignment.
If I were you, I'd just autoX stock on Sunday and install the springs afterwards.
