$400 for install??? WTF!

damn.......let me guess, the dealer installed them?
I got a quote from my dealer for $500 just for install. I just laughed and hung up. For that much, ill learn with no experience!

I paid same, $399 for springs, including installation.

The springs actually do lower it 5mm more in back, as the TRD springs are 28mm lower for front and 33mm lower rear, than the stock springs. I've noticed it too, and don't know why they designed them that way, but don't let it bother me...at least not too much.

^^ The stocks are higher in the rear I believe though. It is mostly due to the larger cutout for the front fender, which makes it look that way.

TRD springs and shocks here...no problems...tho i wish i had adjustable...with my subs in the back, the rear looks very low...

I've got the Hotchkis springs and TRD shocks and struts, and no difference. I did have the TPS go off until I disabled it. Dealer said it was due to the Hotchkis springs, and not TRD. I think it was an easy excuse for him to blame the non TRD product???

The tech either knew jack s#!t or did not want to deal with it. The system monitors individual wheel speed, so if one is consistantly turning faster than the others the tire is deemed low and the light comes on. So obviously your springs have NOTHING to do with it. I would put money on a wire disconnected or the sensor damaged during install of the suspension peices.

I just held the sensor for 10 seconds and it flashed a few times and turned off all together. I just check my tire pressure evry week and not worry about it.

^^ The button in the glovebox? If that is what you pressed for 10 seconds, then you just reset it. If it did not come back on then it is operating normally.

Whew!! Glad to see that some people with the TRD's and no problems chimed in! Makes me a feel a heck of a lot better. Ordered the TRDs today from trdsparks.com. Supossed to be here by the end of the week ...can't wait to get em on.

Im gonna keep the stock shocks on there, I've heard that it shouldnt be too much of a prob with this little of a drop. You guys think I should let em settle for a while before having it aligned, or should I align it right away?? AND...about how long did it take to settle for you guys?? Thanks

i think mine took about a month... i haven't aligned mine yet... i see a little irregular wear on the tires but not too bad... i'll prolly get it done soon... trd sparks is a good company i got my springs from there... they were very fast...

After installing TRD springs, the dealerships NEVER do an alignment, unless there's an immediate issue like pulling to one side. I did ask when they installed mine, and they said they've found it wasn't necessary, they've done a ton of them and haven't had any problems. Just thought you'd want to know, but I am a bit skeptical about changing springs without an alignment check.
