read this thread. Read everyone's answer. And for God's sake, never ask this question again. You gotta pay to play.

sorry that i dont spend my day on scionlife reading threads!! simple question just help out thats what its for!

And thanks serg your the ish!!
You actually didn't have to read all day on Scionlife for this technical question. A search would have turned up a faster result, and by making this thread it's obvious no research attempt was done. My reply still remains the same though, you want to go lower you gotta pay to play.

You can't be cheap when it comes to cars just save up the money and do it right and get some coilovers.

a) S Techs are already too low for any real performance benefit, so going lower will only hurt the handling more.

b) Cutting springs IS RETARDED. ABSOLUTELY 100% RETARDED. If you don't have the money to make a serious modification the way it should be done... DON'T DO IT. And if you do, don't bother asking about it... b/c this thread is a perfect example of what happens.

c) As stated, cutting/heating springs changes a LOT of the properties they were designed to have and manufactured with.. You will make the ride worse one way or another no matter how "awesomely slammed" it might look. And asking someone else how their cut/heated springs ride is useless... cutting in different places will give different results on different springs on different vehicles.

All of that said... if you really want to cut them, go ahead. I'd just recommend you have a new set of springs sitting around to swap in after you ruin that set.

Ya, I guess I could... the discussion has pretty much run its course. I didn't necessarily add anything new to the conversation.
