Default Best support stand position

I'm kinda new at moding cars. And I'm planning on installing a TRD rear sway bar on my tC. I've noticed that the owners manual tells you to jack the car in the center of the rear. Am I supposed to keep it there while I work under the car? If so, Will this be in my way of working under the car? And where am I supposed to set the support stand while I work under the car?
Thanks

Moved to CC...
(sway bar install)

I'm not sure if there's a specific point. To do springs in the rear, I just jacked it up with a floor jack and put a jack stand on each side at the rear jack point (under the side skirt, near the rear wheel).

So technically, the jack would keep the car up by itself and the support stands are for back up? I have non adjustable support stands, is that ok? So when I place the support stands under the car near the rear wheels, what part of the car do I place it under? How far from the wheel? Would it damage the body if I place it at the wrong position?

What I did was jack up the car with the floor jack and then put the jack stands in place and let the floor jack down. So actually, it was resting on the stands.

As for the points I placed the stands... there are rear jacking points on each side of the car. If you look at your side skirts, you'll see little arrows pointing down. You have to get up close to notice. Then if you look just under the car where those arrows are pointing, you should see the jacking points - but I would recommend verifying with the Owner's Manual to be sure - before putting anything under there.

I'm not sure how big your support stands are, so I'm not sure how you'd have to use them. About how tall are they?

The support stands are about 15" high. If I place the support stands at the arrow of the side skirts, would the rear of the car be high enough since the arrows are in the middle of the car?

That might be too high, if anything. But they might work. Worst case, I think jack it up with a floor jack (be sure placement of that does not interfere with the sway bar) and then place the supports under the side jack points as a precaution if they'll fit.
