brake light
well i dont know if i am in the right section but my brake light stays on and the switch isnt sticking cause i checked that is there still any other possibilitys that is y it would still be staying on

Do you mean that the actual brake lights are staying one (back of the car) or the brake light on the dash is on? If it is the one on the dash, then you have low fluid or poor pressure when applying the brakes. If the fluid is low, look for leaks to be sure you arent losing fluid. If that is not it, it is probably time to change your front brake pads. As they wear, fluid level drops, thus triggering the light on the dash. Replace the pads and the level should be back to normal.

im actually having the same problem right now..ill definitely have to check the brakes and the fluid just to make sure, although my pads are still okay, if that's the case i guess its the fluid. it freaking scared me this morning on the way to work...thankfully someone else had the same problem, thought i was the only one, ahah i swear my tC is always PMSing

IF the pads arent worn, and the fluid is low, you have a leak. If you dont have a leak, your pads are worn They will cause the light to flicker under hard acceleration before they are totally gone, but not too far. Mine started doing it when my pads were getting close. The outer pad looked ok.. the inboard pad was nearly to its wear indicators.
If you just top off the fluid, you will have to remove some when you do replace pads or you will push it back out of the resevoir and make a nasty mess (brake fluid will completely remove paint and can make the metal d@mned near impossible to repaint again.. so be careful with it! ) .
I say, if you have 30k or so on the pads, and the light is flickering, just replace the front pads now and get it over with. Rear pads will probably be ok for a good while longer though.

hey autox... aare you still autoxing the tc (sts I presume with your mods.. since trd springs arent a "factory" option ) or have you started with the miata yet ? I have actually tossed the idea around of buying a used miata (dime a dozen pricewise, so easy to purchase! ) and making it an autox only vehicle. Fun little cars for it.

thanks for the info engifineeer! ill definitely keep all that in mind while i check tonight.
as far as autoxing...i think the tC is partially retired and has become the daily driver parts getter...kuz she's kinda sorta falling apart on me because of how much i beat on her...and i do wanna keep her for a little while longer while im still attending school and cant afford a different dependable daily.
THE MIATA IS A GREAT AUTOXER! i can tell you that. I've driven a regular 91 miata and a 97 M-edition i believe both are very well balanced...same with the S2K, those are very agile cars as well. Miata is definitely something you'd want to take into consideration for being a full time autox vehicle. they're usually cheap, and easy to fix if there is anything to fix. the one i recently acquired needs some body work, the motor runs, tranny is great...and the CLUTCH IS AWESOME! i havent autoxed it yet due to its condition, but i will be for sure by next year. its a great car to toss around, light weight, rear wheel drive, well balanced, the car was indeed made for cornering! what more can you ask for? tC is a good car, autox its still fun, but not as fun as a miata! =D

I am seeing better and better performance out of my tC in STS. It wont be an old school civic killer, but I see a lot of good potential in it if set up and driven correctly.
You should see the "Evil Bar of Soap" miata at our events. No windsheild, totally stripped down, 10.5" wide slicks, fully custom built suspension and 280 whp :D

that's probably a spec miata...specs are like the hardcore tracked out miatas, i know they have em at skip barber i believe...those things are sick..id eventually wanna build one of my own and a F125 Shifter kart, money and time is all i need hehe
the tC has tons of potential it just takes time and practice and the right set up (depending on your driving style and what type of set up you prefer) but oh yeah i agree it does have a lot of potential. but if your planning to get a miata for just track and autox use...definitely take it to its limits and make it a spec, you can still make the tc an autox daily too...that's what im planning to do with mine, more daily than anything though hehe

Actually, this one is past spec I think I believe spec limits them to what they can do to the car to a degree. This car is about as full out as it gets for a miata. It is trailored to and from events
We did have an actual spec miata come out to an event this year already. Not sure if they will be regulars or what. This car chews that one up and spits it out like some sort of monster :D

ahahahah deng must be some miata huh! a scary little car, you dont see that everyday! hah!
as for my brake like...my bf and i checked all four pads...and have a TON OF PAD LEFT! so filled it with fluid and the light went away. whats weird is ive had my fluid at the exact spot it was at and never got a brake like flash on my dash before. i think my tC is a little jealous of the miata and wanted some TLC and attention hehe =P but she's good, brakes are still great so yeah no problems just keeping an eye on the fluid for the next month or so to see if anything funny happens with it, but yeah thanks for all the advice helped alot!
