^ the ceramic pads take longer to come up to temp than the metallic based ones but the trade off it longer life/ less brake fade. You'll notice more on the track and during traffic, frequent braking situations IMO.

I'm starting to get a little more bite and an occasional squeak (which is fine). I'm hoping they're coming around. I'm also likely going to bleed the lines again this weekend. So far so good.

i'd bleed them again, first time i did my lines i thought i had all the air out, then i bled them again a couple months afterwards and it made it even stiffer. i'm probably gonna do it again because they still don't feel like brake lines to me.

Ya, there's still a lot of play in the pedal. I'll be bleeding them again for sure.

the air in the lines will account for a lot of the play and loss of bite.........looks great......hows the dust from those pads......

Can't give too many thoughts on the dust yet. I'll see after a week or so of driving.

Bled them again tonight and there's a lot more of a difference. I still feel a LITTLE bit of play in the pedal so I may do it again in a week or so (have to get a little more fluid).

There is a bit more noticeable squeaking than I had expected, but I'm not complaining about it yet. Will wait and see.

So almost-one-week update...

There is a LOT more dust on the wheels now than I have ever seen with the OEM pads. Come to think of it I never saw any dust with the OEM pads... so it's sort of obvious then. I don't think it's awful, but there is certainly noticeable dust accumulation.

That said, that stopping power is fantastic... it just sucks that I have to wait until the 30th to try them on an autox course.

I am also still getting some squealing from the passenger side. Seems like only when I press at a certain pressure. If I push harder it stops, if I'm REALLY light, I don't hear it. Strange.

How bad has the brake dust been to clean off? Any easier or harder than the OEM crap?

Seems to just wipe off so far... I haven't taken it to the wash yet.

mine do the same. if i press it just a tad, no sound. if its medium pressure, they squeal, and if i press them hard, sound goes away.

to be honest though i've yet to come accross an aftermarket brake pad that does not squeal. but, then agan it may have been bad break-in procedure by yourself. to tell you the truth though i've never "broken-in" pads so maybe thats my problem too. they say to go easy on the brakes for the first 500 miles or so? if i need to brake hard because someone in front of me isnt paying attention, i'll brake hard...then again it may be your rotors, but when i did my pads i replaced the rotors as well. so who knows....(my oem pads squealed too so i'm guessing i need to stick to the break-in process).

as for the dust, i have EBC Redstuff and the dust count is significantly less than oem pads.
