If you want this to not happen again, I'd highly suggest you investigate from whence those witness marks came. The fact that they are present is highly suggestive of a bad fitment or improper install. The presence of rubbing and/or binding has trouble written all over it.

yea i made that thread about the hotchkis bars breaking

the front bar break is actually very prominent with people who track

also, the old version of the bars didnt have ridges to stop it from moving around, so the front bar would scrap up against the cars suspension. maybe you have an old version of the bar...

anyways, where did this boy vs girl sh**t come up?
the front sway bar isnt built strong enough, because the front requires a lot more forn the weight and turning of the wheel; as the previous poster stated.
it has nothing to do with boys being bad drivers, what this proves is that more boys will take their cars to their limits.

if you want to see women driving at their best, check this out

oh my bad
i thought i saw something about bad drivers...

hey kanundrum, glad you found out that you got the old version. Goes to show that hotchkis does have a great product, but they had to work the kinks out. Now they got it right, and hopefully your bar will never break again!

Yeah, the older bars had an issue where they would slide and rub, so that was probably it. The new one you get should not have that problem.

when i got my replacement front bar, it did have those stops on the bar. all has been well since then. and mine did break mid-turn, obviously. when else is a sway bar stressed?

and if you're going to crash and die during a turn, you're probably making it at an unlawful speed.

im very happy with my sway bars, and the service hotchkis provided. lightning fast, and very stress-free.

sorry that i deleted the pics off my hotchkis problem thread, but basically version 1 did not have stoppers (rings) around the bar located where the polyurethan bushings were. The second version has the rings that stop the bar from moving sideways.

I had mine for two months and i've noticed peeling paint and rust on it I ignored it at first but yesterday i was changing my springs and i've noticed it's bended. Driver side is 1/2" higher than passanger. Drop is also uneven. Driver side is lower. I dont want to wait until it breakes on me. I just send a letter to trdsparks and hopefully they provide warranty. If not i still have my stock one.
