hey guys i was wondering if anyone has the eibach sprortline springs. i have had them installed for about 5k miles and notice that the rear camber is really noticeable (negative). have any of u S Tech owners had this problem? should i get a camber kit? was something installed wrong? please help.....

 

I would say that if the drop is more 1.75" you must get one, but you should get the kit for any drop to counter the change in camber.

 

They are not needed really. Did you get an alignment???

 

well yeah they aren't needed but if you want to buy new tires constantly because they keep wearing out then yes you might want to get the camber kit, just my .02

 

There is enough adjustment stock to get them back to "within Spec" so no you do not need them. Only way you need them is if you want extra adjustability for a race alignment. Since he hasn't gotten an alignment yet I would say that it's highly unlikely he will be setting up for racing any time soon.

Just go get a good alignment.

 

thanks everybody....i really appreciate ur input. since the springs install i havent got an alignment. will i have any trouble bringing in a lowered car to get an alignment? i have read that some wheel shops will not do it.

 

that is true, but just search around and you'll find one.
I wouldn't go deal____ they charge tooo much.

i have some camber but not much! Looks good, had my Hotchkis drop for about 10 months! Tires still look good!

 

just get an alignment and it will be back to factory specs. the eibach drop is not as big as the s-techs and the alignment got my wheels stright again with the s-techs.

 

Go to www.ingallseng.com You can dial your tc back to factory spec for about 25-50 bucks plus alignment. Also check out the other items offered by ingalls if you are serious about suspension for your Scion

 

I put on my Hotchkis springs and noticed a little more negative camber then with my TRDs before an allignment.
My car was in the shop for some bumper damage, and I talked them into giving me an allignment for free.
They said they couldn't do much cause it was lowered, but they got just about all the rear camber dialed out! It's straiter then it was with the TRDs! But I'm not sure if the dealership did an allignment after putting the TRDs in.

I ordered a set of camber bolts from Toyota for $11. It did the job for me with a -1.75 front drop.

 

i have the hotchkis set... i never put it on since i got put on orders to alaska the week i got them in... if anyone wants to buy them off me for cheap ($75) pm me...

 

hey slammedtc, if a 30 min drive to south sac is not that far for u, autobahn performance can do a four wheel alignment on ur tc for like $65. he specializes in aligning lowered cars. he did my tc when i got my s-techs put in wif no problems. my cars alignment is back to stock wif a 2 in drop all around.

 

i took my car to get aligned and they said the rear chamber is not adjustable.. so now i'm thinking that it is.. which is true

 

The rear camber is adjustable. The shop I took my car to tried to pull that same BS until I pulled out the Toyota alignment instructions and shoved them in their face.

 

Tell your allignment shop to look at www.ingallseng.com or hotchkis or toyota. These parts are made to get your Tc back into spec.

 

Dang it...I wish I would have hit this thread yesterday..I just ordered the Hotchkis TVS stage 1 (springs and both sway bars) last night . I woulda taken those off your hands had I known
