Default car feels like its pushing

i have an rs5 and it has the trd springs and trd sway bar. when i take turns at relatively low speeds (i don't speed around, i drive like a granny) entering/exiting freeways the front end feels like it's pushing. im guessing there's something that doesn't like the combination that scion put together, but what can i do to fix that? i have been looking into the trd coilovers and trd strut bar, but curious what others think.

it is a front-wheel drive car dude, it understeers by nature. there is nothing wrong with the spring and sway bar combination.

if you want to help the car handle better, make sure the rear sway bar is on the stiffer setting, and also, chance are the tires are fairly low grip. probably made for lower road noise, tire life and ride comfort.

the strut tower brace won't do anything. if you want better handling, get the trd struts and shocks installed with those lowering springs. and once the oem tires wear out, replace them with something stickier.

If it's pushing more than you like, there are two relatively quick & inexpensive potential solutions;
- Upgrade to stickier front tires (they'll hold longer before giving up to 'push')
- Go with a larger rear sway (will make the rear end rotate easier/earlier)

I think the TRD springs & rear sway work fairly well together, no complaints here.

Ya, at least check the rear sway setting. Should be a hard and soft setting. They probably put it on soft from the factory.

Tires will help... but really the TRD combination is supposed to be pretty decent.

It shouldn't take much to make a RS5 pretty neutral.

Step 1: Set rear sway to track. Cost $0. If that doesn't help go to step 2.

Step 2: Dump the factory alignment. Get it set to 0 toe front and rear. Get max negative front camber without changing the crash/camber bolts on the front struts. This is a mild enough change in alignment to feel, but not enough to affect tire wear. Cost $50-$70. If that isn't enough go to step 3.

Step 3: Since this is where you start spending big $$. I'd go tires, then maybe bigger Front Sway Bar. Yes, I said Bigger Front Bar. If you have got to ask why, you better ask why.

If all of this doesn't work then I don't think you driving is as "granny" like you might think. You may need to slow down or learn to trail-brake or just admit you would rather be autocrossing.

i will have to check the sway bar because i don't remember my 06 feeling like this when i drove it. i don't think it would be the tires since it came with toyo proxes. if the 06 did then i must be feeling the difference between switching from the vw to the tc since the vw didn't do it and it was stock,
