Coilovers... the proper way.
I've said many times before-- you can't just buy these things and slap 'em on the car. Like anything else, setup is more critical than the parts themselves. Luckily, I have excellent parts, and access to even better setup equipment.
So a couple of pics of the tuning of my new Tein SS-P w/ EDFC, thanks to my racecar-driving brother-in-law, a Longacre chassis scale, and a milkcrate full of lead bars.
I think I had to take off and put back on each tire about 20 times. Not fun.
It's not a proper alignment unless the driver's weight is in the seat...
The front end was a bit of a bear. We chased a few pounds of crossweight for about an hour, moving tenths of a percent from corner to corner until we got it right.
Where we finally ended up, after zeroing the swaybars (the rear came out fine, the fronts required me to build new links)
Total weight, including full fluids, audio, weight of driver,
3301lbs.
Leftside weight: 51.4%
Rear weight: 41.7%
Cross weight: 50.0% (we got a good laugh at the rear weights being 711/666)
Camber: -1º all the way around.
Front drop: 1.6"
Rear drop: 1.2"

Thats the only way to do it. If they arent going to be tuned, coilovers are a waste.
Hoping to be at my alignment guys shop next spring doing the same on mine.. but I bet I am not going to get the same deal you did on the teins doc

Rough roads + very stiff springrates ≠ smooth and comfortable
On the freeway, it feels smoother than TRD. Rough roads feel... rough. The upside is, I scrape much less than I used to-- very short damper travel and those stiff springs see to that.
