Yeah I am at the same battle right now, Scionide advised me on going tanabes and tokico to keep a soft and none pogo stick ride. I too was looking into coilovers but I dont race, I can't even stand these things sounding like rice cans..

Depending on your budget I would go all out and buy Tein coil overs. If money is tight stick with TRD lowering kit.

Spend a couple hundred on Eibach coil springs.
They have a great warranty.
They are designed to work with factory dampers, and have on my wife's and my cars.

The ONLY reason to buy coil overs at your stage is for a dangerous drop. Low end coil overs are not going to ride any better.
Two of my buddies here have damaged their cars by going super low. One smashed his oilpan and broke his oil pump.

If you want adjustable height, Ground Control coil over sleeves will be just fine, and you can use whatever rates you want, they use Eibach coils, not cheap no-name junk.

I have personal experience on all the parts I mentioned, from street use, to racing.

id get springs if its your daily driver, coils are for racing and looks and if you dont care if your car is bumpy and hard hitting

You know, I have racing coil springs of 400lb/f, 700lb/r on my daily-driven autocrosser with Koni Yellow inserts/shocks. The ride is surprisingly tolerable.
You're saying Eibachs at less than half the rate are bouncy?
Also, your springs ARE coils...

I've been glad to see you bumping old threads so you can sell your turbo kit.

^lol. spicy you had F&F2 coils..what do you think about them. I drive over crappy roads and crappy highway at 80mph and its so horrible. I am on racelands. Is it really that much of a better ride to fork out the cash for used coils or should i get some tokico struts for my trd springs and call it a day.

I really, really liked them. Had no complaints, and the adjustability was nice.
