It was bound to happen soon or later, at least you are alright and no real damage was done to the car that would be thousands of dollars to fix.

Gone are the days of the daily driver... I'm surprised the roads near your house don't kill your suspension/tires... nasty.

I meant $5,000-$10,000+. Most coilovers for the tC i've seen don't cost much more than $1,600 for the most expensive kits.

i'm confused as to what happend.
did the spring perch on the coilovers break, causing your car to be slammed, which caused the flat tire?

Some road debris must have gotten kicked up to mangle that tire.... unless you were running bald....

Oh man, it hurts to see advans riding on flats like that. What happened to the tein basics? Couldn't image how a storm could do that.

before blaming tien basics.. i would examine first the driving conditions you were in + w/e crap you have in your trunk + how low you were at the time. did you pop a spring? shock? examine first then say tiens sucks. but w/e could have been worse so thank god that you and ur car are ok.

and tire failure like that can be alot of things also. ive had new tires fail on me in normal DD. its just things that happen

Tein is a good company, however people really over play their products an insane amount. Their designs are great, but taek isn't the first tein basic failure i've heard of. First in the Scion community, but not the first over all. The SS's are a better design imo, but coilovers i personally wouldn't go with tein's. Again, they are a good company and their products overall are great. But people think of them as 10x better than what they actually are.
