not to mention hes in for the GB on the $2200 ZEAL coilovers... another reason to mention that his new ones cost thousands... most likely the best reason

sucks to hear about the loss man.

From the pics, looks like you just had a blow out/sidewall failure.

Do you remember if you ran over anything when it happened?

No, they just didnt contact the ground much, nothing to do with the rims quality really. If they would have bit into the pavement well, it would have chewed them to hell. Just feel lucky they didnt.

Alot could have caused it really. Hard to tell after the fact with that type of blowout. It could be anything from hitting something to just a bad tire.

any tire tech or any auto tech will tlel you taht the coilovers can not physically damage or pop a tire in that fashion.

and this whole thread will back me on that by the looks of it already

lik i said, you ran over a nail or something and didnt know it because it was rainning.

perhaps the coilovers rubbed against the tire, eventually wearing down the sidewall.
i had that rubbing problem on my 240SX and GTI.
but i doubt that happened since your wheels/tires arent super wide and your offset isnt that high.
currently my tein coilovers rub against the inside of the front wheels (and doing a nice job of chewing up the inside wheel lip), but its not the coilovers fault since i'm running 8.5's up front.

sorry for saying it was cuz of the coilovers

i didn't really know what was going on and the only thing i know from the car was when i was changing lanes, the rear left wheel would make a big bump everytiem i hit the road deflectors so i assumed it was my coilovers

but good thing everything is good =D
