Default Decision time: TRD vs H&R Sport Springs

I've decided against coilovers and I'm going with TRD shocks with TRD Springs or H&R Sports. Any thoughts, opinions, or advice on which springs I should go with would be greatly appreciated (except for suggesting I buy Teins ). Thanks!

i just wanted to let you know before i give my opinion i have owned hotchkis & trd springs & tein coilovers before. and personally i would go with trd they seemed to have the best performance while still having good driveability.

sup man. i have the TRD springs and my buddy has H&R's. the H&R's drive feels about the same as the trd's (if not they're slightly stiffer). the H&R's will settle evenly in the front and back, with TRD they settle lower in the back, and slightly higher in the front. it's a little bit annoying, but doesn't seem to bother me that much. I'd go with the H&R's, you won't regret it.

hotchkis evens out the car level! I believe the only springs to do that!

no rubbing or scrapping issues! Awsome stance!

Default trd struts with h&r

i got mine set up with the H&R springs... it doesnt sit as low as the TRD springs but is a bit stiffer and gives you a more active driving feel... the TRD springs feel like a lower version of the stock ride... at least that is my opinion...

Are you using any aftermarket shocks (i.e TRD or Koni), or are you using stock? Also, I was under the impression H&R Sports sat about the same or 0.2 inch lower than TRD springs, did you measure the drop before and after?

Thanks for the responses, please keep them coming.

i have TRD shocks and as far as measuring the drop i never paid attention to what it was supposed to be (TRD vs H&R)... for me there was never a question in my mind what to get because i was so satisfied with the H&R suspension components that i had on my previous car... as far as eyeballing it though it does look like it sits just a tiny bit higher than the H&R springs but it feels a lot stiffer... and if your interested i just happen to have a set of unused TRD springs laying around that i could offload for a bargain price... just an offer.

Thanks for the offer. One last question: I presume you purchased the H&R springs for performance rather than looks, do you feel there was an obvious performance gain over the TRD?
