Default Disable Scion tC ABS

Quick question, and it has been asked before, with nothing but "DONT DO IT" responses.

I want to install a simple on/off switch for the ABS in my tC. I'm thinking it should cut one of the rear wheel speed sensors. Anybody know of a wire in the dash that I can 'sever' with a switch to either disable or throw an error code in the ABS that will disable it?

No I'm not going to autox or do j-turns with it.

Thanks in advance.

YSTC couldn't answer anything technical?

What is the actual purpose of this besides completely messing up the car? I know how you can, but its not information I'm just going to throw out there and end up causing an accident.

Your patronization is always appreciated, Mr. Haggiz.

Felt like posting it over here instead of dumping a bunch of questions on ystc.

I'm converting my tC to off-road; I need a way to disable the ABS once I hit the dirt, but be able to turn it back on when I get back on the road.

So you want to turn a FWD economy car into something to off road?

Yep.

So any ideas on how to disable the ABS, besides just disconnecting a wheel speed sensor? (Or is there a speed sensor wire that runs through the dash somewhere that I can tap into?)

Yeah; but if I cut the circuit at the fuse while driving, will it disrupt any other functions of the car (or throw any p-codes? I know the manual says it's just for the ABS but supposedly the speed sensors and tps are related to the ABS... not that tripping those would be a big deal.) And if I connect it again after cutting it, will it work normally?

I suppose I could just go test it out in a parking lot myself... Might get around to that tonight.

Went down to a gravelly stretch of road in the canyon near my house; removing the ABS fuse works perfectly. Nothing happens when you first take the fuse out, but once you start rolling the ABS light goes on, and the ABS stops working. Putting the fuse back in and turning the car completely off/back on again, and same thing--start rolling, and the light goes out.

No CEL, TPS, nothin'. Wiring that sucker up to a switch tonight!
