on a open diff, if two people try to hold both wheels, will only one tire stop and the power deliverd to the other tire?

On an open diff, the tire with the least traction(resistance to motion) will turn. always

really want to test it? take the transmission off, take the whole thing apart and see if theres a lsd. then you'll know for sure.

OK I have figured out a proff positive lift test for the TRD helical LSD.
Lift car and place in first.
Start car and allow a friend to stop one tire.
Gently apply the brakes.
If it is LSD equipped the brakes will act as "traction" allowing the LSD to multiply the brake force to the stationary tire.
If it is not LSD equipped, nothing will happen until the brakes stop the spinning tire
