Ride Update...

I drove the tC to work today over the very bumpy downtown Altanta roads. For those of you who know Atlanta, I get to work via Spring Street/West Peachtree/14th. To get home, I take Spring Street/Centennial Park Drive/Mitchell and these are NOT the smoothest roads...

Overall the ride was MUCH better than my springs/struts were. However, there were a couple of areas on one of the streets where:
1 I hit a bridge connection and the back end popped up a little, but nothing too terrible...(I will decrease the rear pressure a pound or two and see how it does Monday.)
2 I went through a small stretch of construction was a little rough, so I will probably adjust the front dampners by 2 and again, see how the ride is on Monday.

But...when I got to my building and went up the parking deck, the car handled great! (And my parking deck has a three story cork-screw entrance ramp that is a blast to drive!) The car stayed nice and flat (not so with the springs/struts) and the back end did not try to "slide out" as I went around some turns.

So, I am thrilled with how the car handled and rode this morning, and I am looking forward to how it does tonight going home. I will post an update Monday and let you guys know how the adjustments affected the ride and handling!

Yo everyone. Just wanted to put the word out. I am also 1 of the 3 people that are getting one of the prototypes. I just spoke with Jeremy at Air Lift Company, and ended up getting the last kit they had.

One person has it in Cali, the other is the blue tc from Georgia from the previous post and me in Ohio. Plus air lift has their own prototype as well.

I originally was going to be their test vehicle for the air bag kit, but air lift ended up buying their own tC. It would have been nice to get a free air suspension kit. But for the deal I got on it, I am really not complaining, which I will not tell

Ill be posting some images within a week or so. I just ordered it and it is supposed to get delivered monday since they are right in Michigan. It seems like it is going to be a nice set up and from what Ive heard it is going to ride smooth as hell handle a hell of a lot better and yeah, I am excited!:D Also got my turbo started installing it already. Check out my car domain page I will have pictures posted up on their in the next couple days.

i hope their product is better than their support...

2 yrs ago i kept calling and calling them requesting that they look at my tC so they can at least give me a custom solution to use their parts for an air ride kit...

I called 7 times within a 4 day period and their supervisor never once returned one of my voice mails...

I am within a 2hr drive from their factory so i don't understand the problem...

I was able to talk to someone every time i called but the supervisor must have been dick cheney because he has never been proven to exist.

It's funny how they have all of a sudden decided to do prototypes and never contacted me about it...

Seems as though this company is unorganized...

I just hope they live up to manufacturing defect warranties with ease because trying to get ahold of the boss is impossible.

Two years ago the factory was in China so you must drive rather quickly...... only kidding.

This kit is slated for release around mid to late September or early October.

Well, the guys at AirLift are in Michigan and they have really run their test tC through the "ringer" and from what they have told me, there were no issues as far as weather.

One trick that you could consider is to mount your valves inside the car to help protect them from the sever weather.

Definitely contact the guys at AirLift and they can give you more details on their winter testing.

Winter driving will be no problem, just like the guy said before their out of Michigan and I spoke with them also and their is no problems. Only thing they suggested is to put air line antifreeze in the tank and their should be no issues. Me and my friend started working on the air management system and finished it last night. Next step is running the air lines and and installing the struts and shocks. Here are more pics enjoy.

x2, I would be all over this if the compressor was smaller so it could be concealed but that is just wayyyy toooo big

The kit comes with a 380C compressor and it has one of the smaller footprints. If you are worried about space, you can do as we did with my car and mount the compressor, tank (3 gal slim aluminum) and manifolds under the car. I will be posting pics of my install soon...I promise! (I just have to remember where the camera is...)

It does come with a viair compressor i am not sure why they have different one in their kit. but Nightbeat thats the air tank that is that big not the compressor. The compressor is the smaller silver piece. They make smaller tanks that are shaped like a pancake that you could put it where the spare tire is. I am just using the one that it came with, I eventually want to fiberglass the enclosure in the rear and put my 10"s back in their since the box wont fit now. Heres some new pics I have of the car finished.

ok had my part mixed up LOL, but damn that looks sexy, how much are these kits going to run need to start saving lol

On a side not about your enclousure just looked at your cars page, Dude that Box is WAY too big for those type-e's, you need a seadl box too. Go on ebay search zenclousures scion tc, and get one of their boxes until you can do the fiberglassing, they are awesome boxes with freaking rock hard construction I have one with 3 10" jl w3v3 and its sounds 100times better then the old 3 10 box I had them in

i was thinking about 2 2 gallon or the pankcake tank and put it in the rear quarter's. i still have a spare and a full custom trunk and i dont want to loose the spare tire. just curious if you guys might have any ideas or tips for me. esp since u guys have the kits already.
and the other thing, are any of these kits digital/ is anyone running a digital kit?

Looks like only the rear bags and front struts are the same as their prototype car.

You will not want to put your air tanks in the side panels where the speakers are. As mentioned put the tank under the car or get a pancake tank.

Time to email the engineer and see what is up.
