Another reason why I painted my calipers is to show off my rims. My 5Zigen RX-6s are Hyper Black. They looked really boring with the nasty grey caliper. So, I put on a contrasting color on my calipers and now its like everybody notices my rims. Crazy, huh? I see you point about them being cheesy. I'm just letting you know why I did it. Sorry if my previous post came across as defensive. My TSX calipers look worse then my tCs! And, IMHO, they are not that much better brakes then my tCs. One last thing...what's the difference between painting the calipers red, black, silver, or whatever color? Black will look like BBKs that are on Porche. Red will look like a Corvette BBK. Silver will look like a TSX BBK. Some of you who said they would paint theirs black (but hated the red because it looks 'rice'?) are doing the EXACT same thing I did!! Just in subtle way. Interesting, don't you think? Let's not fight, let's unite.

C'mon guy... Everybody notices your rims and nobody pays attention to the fact that the rotors and calipers are so tiny in comparison? Who are you trying to impress, kindergarteners? Even with stock rims the brakes on TC are puny, take a look at any Merc, Bimmer or EVO and compare rim to rotor ratio.... TECHNICALLY SPEAKING THE ONLY REASON FOR LARGE DIAMATER RIMS IS TO ACCOMMODATE BIG ROTORS/CALIPERS. For traction alone you just go wider, not taller... Painting the calipers will only further emphase TC's deficiency in this department.......

Keep it real, keep it clean. Keep it fun for everybody.
