I find this thread funny as Monster Motorworks was the first to release a rear strut bar a while ago and received nothing but criticism, but when the Greddy rear comes out ,it all of a sudden "stiffens up the chassis" with no argument against it nor endless posts on how it does nothing and the "where are the track time results to prove that it works" posts. Seems to me that just cause Greddy released the rear bar it suddenly is something that is assumed to work with no questions asked. I have the MMW rear strut bar and I can say that the car does Feel stiffer to me

I still am not sold on the part, but I think everything I have to say has already been said in the other thread.

lets face it strut bars will do little for actual chasis stiffness. swaybars will do more, full roll cage will do even more, and then there are a few other things like seem welding the body. its all been posted before.

ok, lets face it, wheter it be the MMW or the Greddy bar, who cares, and big deal if there is no proven performance gains from it, you didnt spend the money on it, I did.

i like the greddy bar because it has more bling. by that i mean its not hidden under the trunk carpet, although the MMW bar clearly has a nicer shine.

i suppose any stress bar somehow helps, but I'm buying the greddy bar because i'm am an impulsive-shopping-brand-*****.

i dont know who thought of a solid part that connects at two points, but i know it wasnt you. however, MMW did release the first rear strut bar for the tC if that is what you ment.

I said it on MMW's bar, and I'll say it for this bar. It wont make a differance to the cars suspension at all.

And in defence of MMW, the greddy bar wouldnt work as well as the MMW bar if either of them made an improvement to the suspension. The reason i say this is because it appears that the greddy bar has hinges, so if the rear struts WERE to bend, the greddy bar would be easier to move because it is on a hinge, no matter how much your torque the joints. Where as the MMW is a soild bar with no hinges.

So all in all, here is what you should buy if you are intresed in a rear stur bar IMO:

Looks, Little to No Performance - Greddy

Tighter Suspension (not by much) MMW

i think that installing a rear strut bar is like changing wheels, you dont notice the performance, but your car does... it would be better for it. and dont forger the visual improvement.

i dont agree with that at all

i felt a big differance when i went from the stock 17"s with craptenzas

to RH Pro J5 19"s with Pzero's.... MUCH BETTER CONTROL

i highly doubt anyone would feel a differance with or without the rear strut bar, no matter who makes it

R those the only two options when it comes to rear strut bars (MMW & Greddy)?

Dont worry R2d2 I am in works with someone who will blow these bars out of the water. You will see what a working rear bar looks like and feels like.
