H&R coilovers help.
I recently bought a set of used H&R coilovers and I can't figure out how to adjust them. They are not on the car I'm trying to clean all the salt and grime off the threads before I send them to the installer to have them put on. I have both of the spanner wrenches I just can't figure out which ring to twist or what direction to twist to get me to move the rings. I know one of the rings lock, and the other one is the one the adjusts the height. I can't seem to find the manual online, right now the coils have the top mounts installed on them. Is adjusting the height the same as the front and rear or is the adjustment procedure different on the rears. Any help would be greatly appreciated as always.

bottom is the locking top is the adjustable one.. If i am right you move the bottom ring clockwise.. then move it down to where you want it move the top down to it and tighten bottom to the top.. Might be wrong but should help.

I bought the plastic valve cover off you like 2yrs ago lol. Oh yeah I just remembered the top mounts on the coils are yours too lol.
any easy way to loosen these when the coilovers are not on the car?

I still can't get the bottom ring free I think I'm doing something wrong...I already tried soaking it in wd40. Should I be using the other spanner wrench to push the first ring the oposite direction to loosen the bottom one?

I think i'm spinning them the wrong way, I'm spinning the bottom ring to what I think is clockwise and the top counter-clockwise both at the same time neither wants to budge...

hahaha yea i had that same problem, except mine are ON the car. i would assume its easier when they're off. keep trying though, you'll get it eventually and feel good. at least you know they lock up nice and tight lol

seems like it would be easier on the car, this is starting to frustrate me. I can't unlock it all I want to do is unlock it and raise it to clean the threads so I can put anti seize on them. It's starting to aggravate me.

remember those razor scooters a while back ago I took the handle bars off mine and have been using that as a breaker bar since. I tried but the wrenches are too thick for it I can't find a pipe that is wide enough to fit over the wrench.
