Just go to Home Depot, buy a package of foam piping insulation. You'll get about 9 feet worth but all you really need is 4 inches. It only costs like $2 for the whole pack so no big deal. Take a piece of that piping insulation and slip it in between the strut bar and the intake. This is what I did. It's not pretty, but it's cheap, effortless, and it works. How often do you open up your hood anyways!

ok i looked at the piece this morning, its possible it has a bolt on the bottom, but i think you can just pull up on it, or unhook the little plastic clip that holds it to the intake, they you will be able to manuver the evap .
