They do there own coilovers, he does not know what he is talking about and described that the megan brand and apexi look like the HKS Well crap, then they also look like the k-sports and also like the d2 or like the sustec pro oc type 2. Just because they have a spring, tube and height adjustment do not mean they perform or were built by the same company. I talked to HKS personally on these, they were tested on a tc for over a year all over the US before they even released them. I will post what I think of them, like them or not

Idk that is what a distributer told me... did not mean to offend. Apex-i and Megan are made by a Taiwanese company... http://www.bcec.com.tw/

Do you by chance have the specs as far as spring rates, adjustability, etc. ??

Do some research on the hypermax rs series man. HKS spent a long time in development specifically in the USA on this series. The valve work is said to be amazing on the tubes and the spring rates were chosen to be close to as comphy as a daily driver but stiff enough to carve the corners. I chose these specifically for the spring rates and valve work as I have driven many cars with the hypermax linup of coilovers. Also combined with the hotchkis sways, this setup will be perfect in my eyes on paper. Will see how it turnes out real life. Also take a look at the megans. They are not built even close to these HKS. Adjustable pillow mounts would be nice with the HKS but I was told specifically by HKS to install, take to an alignment shop and I might be suprised at the specs Also asjustment is made on bottom of struts, not top. Totally different tubes. So time will tell how much I like them. I get to spend a good 12+ hours next week on them.....

Looks good!

I just bought the Tein SS-P's and I love 'em! At least, from the outside they look pretty. But I have yet to stick them on this weekend.

I just read here...

http://www.hksusa.com/products/?id=1991

Spring rates are F:5k and R:4k. Is that right? It must feel pretty close to stock. F:2.6k and R:3k compared to the Teins at F:7k and R:10k.

Definitely let us know how it rides!

Will let you know how they feel Also I chose the softer spring rates to work together with the stiff hotchkis sways to give a smooth balanced ride without feeling like just another lowered car. But in the corners, this setup should really shine! If you notice out of all hypermax suspensions, they gave the tc lower rates. That is for a reason. Hope my logic works out in the real world on these!
