My Tein H techs are on route in the UPS truck today, 155 Shipped courtesy of ebay.com. I hear teins are the way to go, The H techs dont give that super low to the ground look which I dont want, the H techs are more than the TRD drop while not requiring to change any camber.

h&r sport springs are the way to go... its right in between of trd and hotchkis.. 1.4" in the front and 1.3 in the back. think about it... its kinda expensive but its totally worth it. just my 02 cents.

I'm biased... Hotchkis all the way.

1.7 drop in the front and 2.0 drop in the rear. Why different? B/c from the factory, the tC is higher in the rear by a tiny bit. This evens it out for a nice level stance.

Here are some recent pics of mine (next to an FM at stock height, good comparison): https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=90608

Any time you lower a car the camber will change and you will need an alignment.

We sell both TRD and Hotchkis springs. The TRD's were $99 about 8 month ago but not anymore i'm sorry to say. If you're worried about being to low then you may want to go TRD. The TRD's are also covered inder warranty. But if you asked me what I would go with i'm saying Hotchkis. The drop is a little lower but it looks sweet and they still ride pretty good.

Sorry, I was misunderstood, you wont need a camber correction kit. And yes its a very good idea to get an alignment right after. Im in the process of writing an install for you gyys. :-)

You know if you check out Mcgeorgeparts.com, you can find either sets of springs cheaper. I'm not trying to be an ___ but I do realize that many people are on a budget and are looking for the lowest prices on the best parts. Besides Comptition is good for everyone but the retailers.

Truthfully after you factor in shipping charges we're about the same. We also have free shipping on the Hotchkis springs.

The hotchkis drop looks as if it would cause the ground effects kit to scrape against the ground would it not? I'm planning on putting a body kit someday would the hotchkis be too low for one? Yes Or No, Thanks.

And I have stock 17's would it look stupid with this drop?

The hotchkis should be find with the OEM ground effects. That kit doesn't change the clearance too much. Maybe an inch or so if anything.

As for the wheels... I have the OEM wheels on mine and I think it makes them look much better.

ive been thinking of getting coilovers for a while but recently changed my mind when i read things about the tc's rollcenter in relation to it's heavy upper weight. dropping too much on coilovers actually reduce performance, kinda counterintuitive. So ive been lookin into the TRD kit: springs, shocks, and rear sway instead. The hotchkis looks nice, but what is everryone doing for shocks. I know some ppl are riding just on stock shocks with the new springs (hotchkis, teins, etc.) but i wanna know what certain ppl are doing for shocks wit these lowering springs. I need a clear answer if the trd shocks are being used with aftermarkets, or diff shocks.

Quick Reply: hmm, trd springs or hotchkis?? lol, just a thought :)
