Default Hotchkis sways and DC strut tower bar ?s

So im thinking about buying Hotchkis sway bars (front and rear) and the DC sports strut tower bar for my engine bay... but b4 i buy these, i am wondering if anyone has had any problems with either of these... like ive heard that the hotchkis sways give increased oversteer? like what do i risk getting these and what do i gain getting these?

the sways will be good, so ive heard. I dont have them but soon will. Only thing is the front has some rubbing issues?

I would go with the Hotchkis strut bar to match with the sways? IDK thats just me, the DC bar is too big IMO. ppl say that the strut bar doesnt do anything besides looks but i felt a difference? so both will be good add-on's!

im not too sure on what the issue was but i think most of the ppl that had the front on were having rubbing issues with something?

It appears that the issue also invovles Tein Coilovers. I didnt read through the entire topic but I think it said you should be fine if the car isnt lowered, or lowered too much.

I too am planning on getting the set up youre asking about. If you get them both let me know how they are.

I got the Hotchkis front and rear, put them on myself, no rubbing issues.
I was dropped on TRDs for a year, and now and on Hotchkis. Still no rubbing.
The handling is PHENOMENAL!
I had more overstear then I liked, so I switched the front from the "Race" setting to the "Soft" setting and have the rear on the middle setting.
Still squats in the corners! especially with the shorter, stiffer springs.
I highly recomend them. Fsu, you are gonna **** when you put the front on. The difference is rediculouse!
When I had just the rear on, I could feel my back squat, my middle start to creak, and my front almost lift!
Now it all squats. The only issue is that everything is so stiff now that my car creaks a little more. But worth it.

I dont have a strut tower bar, but I like the DC. I don't have one cause I'd want' to match all Hotchkis suspension, but I think it's overpriced for what I hear does not help much due to the closesness of our front struts to the firewall.
I would imagine it would still keep everything stiffer regardless of closeness to the firewall, but I think it's stiff enought with the sways and springs.

i plan on getting the Hotchkis sways soon! I like the Hotchkis strut bar, i noticed the difference right away on turns. My front end doesnt turn up anymore! Once i get that i will have all Hotchkis suspension type things! as in springs, sways and sturt bar. I wish they made coilovers or shocks and i would be all over those!!!

hotchkis sways only have issues with tein coilovers, other than that, you're good to go.

I run the exact setup that your looking at, hotchkis sways and dc sports front strut bar. It's amazing, you'll be very happy.

The hotchkis sway bars did have problems, even on stock suspensions, where sometimes they would slide laterally and rub/knock against other suspension components under the vehicle.

Since then, Hotchkis has made revisions to their front sway bars so they now have welded on washers where the bushings go to prevent the bar from "walking" much like the rear TRD bar has washers as well.

Buy em, they make a world of difference, even for daily driving that will never see a track, they'll inspire confidence which can help you in more ways than you think... safety is one of them.

I can't recall, but I think mine are like that. Where there is a piece welded to the bar to prevent the bushings from traveling to far.
I'll try to remember to check when I get my car back from the shop on Monday.

I've had that setup for almost a year and a half and I love it. It might have just been a bad batch of Sways, but mine had the washers and I got them right when they came out.

i've gpt soft on front, and medium in the rear. full strong in the rear was causing the back end to come around too much on me.

I've got stiffest in both front and rear. I did notice a little oversteer and first, but not much.

Same here.
I had it all on the stiffest, but a little more overstear then I liked.
with the front on soft and rear on stiffest, you could totally tell the rear was stiffer then the front.
Now, front on soft, rear in the middle, it's a perfect balance.
Squats in the corners and no oversteer.

ight sick sounds like front set to soft and middle on rear is the best.... now with the stock springs will i still squat around corners? like is there a chance that i will still have some sway on my car cause my springs arent stiff?

I only had stock springs for 2 days, so I'm not sure abou that, but I had the TRDs for a year, and I dont' think they are much stiffer then shock.
I could be wrong about that, but I'm sure you're handling will improve greater with the sways then with stiffer springs.
